Quote: don't disagree that we made horrible decisions in the past. I'm the first person to acknowledge this. But, the world operated on a crazy assumption that we should align ourselves with the "lesser of two evils". This was incredibly stupid, but it is how the entire world operated. It is not how we are going to act in the future. You may disagree. But, at least we agreed on something.
And I said we will be invited guests, in a free Iraq. Please!

When did the world operate on this assumption? I think our foreign policy is now and has always been to support those and arm those who do what we tell them to. The problem is sometime our dogs get off their leash. But what the hell? nothing like starting an multi-billion dollar war to clean up the mess we helped create right? Our foreign policy has not changed.. it has always been the same since we had "spheres of influence" in China. What has changed is the age of communication and travel where now people that could never reach us before can be a very real threat. This is a dangerous game we're playing.

America is the biggest, most giving country on the face of the earth. Sometimes these countries take advantage of our generosity.

America will continue to aid countries and help them. We will no longer protect and aid countries that aid and protect terrorists. It will take time, but we're going in the right direction, for once. I think we give too much, and some of these countries don't deserve our generosity.

God Bless America.

You got it. You are so superior. You know everything! Sorry, we aren't as perfect as Canada.

Let's face it. America fronts an interventionalist-style policy. It's Teddy's Big Stick all over again, and this time it's personal. I'm not saying this is a good thing, mind you...I'm all for keeping out of other countries' business; it's not like we pay our UN dues anyway, ya know (and if we do, it's because a certain media mogul decided to be nice)...

mim3@mim.org replies for the Maoist Internationalist Movement:
Yes, we sure were "generous" giving Iraq WMD in the first place
and equally generous in giving Osama Bin Laden those stinger missiles
etc.

People should check what we communists said after Jr.'s 2003
"State of the Union" and compare it with what the New York Times
and Fox News said at the time and decide which of the three of us
was right.

Gagliano

By

James Bredin

Alfonso Gagliano I felt your pain,
When you denied allegations that were insane,
I hear you were out of the country a lot,
Ambassador to Denmark or was it Camelot?

I don’t believe these allegations are true,
Or those billions of dollars came even near you,
Because you look like an honest kind of guy,
From that poor Liberal Party that’s about to die.

Was it corruption in crown corporations?
Or Chretien himself or foundation donations?
Who was it that started this Adscam and got kissed?
Was it the Conservatives but they didn’t exist.

that is one of the rudest things i've heard. i myself am a Québécois, (a french canadian for those of you who don't know) and we are some of the most open-minded people you can meet in north america. if you want to know why we tried to separate, look at the way we have been treated in the past by the english, americans and english canada. it's disgusting. the only problem is that if we separated, canada would be destroyed and the usa would get stronger, and no one wants that. bush would destroy us all (until the pretzel came back to finish him off :-D ).

Hey -- any of you Québécois see the Triumph on Conan where he was in Quebec?

He renamed a street (by putting a new sign over the old one) Rue de Kitty Cats

It was awesome.

Actually I found that quite unfunny, being Canadian. However, his apology to Québec made me piss my pants.

As of 10:20 the Libertarians have 72 votes. I don't have a Libertarian running in my riding so I was forced to vote Conservative. But I don't mind.

Can Quebec cede anymore? I remember when living in Buffalo NY years ago they had an vote that narrowly lost, but someone told me they're not allowed to anymore -- is that true?
