Not a good idea Josh. I wonder if ordering the invasion and subsequent slaughter of innocent men, women, and children sexually arouse Junior Bush? Is it some sort of placebo for Viagra? It must be because he seems to invade any country he wants to. There was a little guy back in the 30's that did the same thing in Europe - I hope Junior doesnt grow a moustach.

I think to compare Bush to Hitler would be an insult to Hitler's intelligence. Bush could never pull off a scheme that grand with his oratory skills, though his administration might.
Haiti: probably don't want to visit, unless you're fond of death |

| It looks like Haiti might be the handshake between the United States and the France after the spat about Iraqi. |

Whilst talking about Haiti.
Isn't it highly ironic that the same US marines were in Haiti 10 years ago putting Aristide into power. |

Is it just me, or does George W. Bush think that armed forces folk are like peanut butter in that you can just spread 'em wherever you like?
How about leaving a few doughboys at home instead of ripping them away from their families to step on or drive over land mines, be mobbed by Iraqi rebels, or otherwise damaged or killed?
We already have too many veterans anyway. |

Adolph Hitler had more impact on the world than anyone else since the death of our Lord Jesus. |

| Trolling is sad isn't it folks. People with nothing substantive to say who like to say controversial things for the sake of silly arguments need to find a hobby. |

Ironic, but explicable. |

Is anyone interested in ignoring Yukon, and discussing what you think is (or was) going on in Haiti?
I thought it was a replication of the situation in Nicaragua a little more than a decade ago. We put a president (Aristide) into power who we thought would do our country well. Everything was nice, him getting elected by a landslide by the people in '95 (elections every five years). But in '96, the U.S. and a few other countries approached Haiti with a "privatization plan" that basically involved Haiti handing over government controlled agencies/businesses to private U.S. interests to profit. In return, we would give Haiti substantial foreign aid. Aristide and the senate rejected the privatization plan because they did not want to sell Haiti out and become another tool for U.S. imperialism as so many central american countries have become. After, support for Haiti dwindled. In 2000, after Aristide was again elected, the U.S. withdrew foreign aid to Haiti. I believe we want him out. We don't want to witness his re-election in 2005, because letting him be kicked out then would look horrible. Allowing the public to believe that the Haitian people turned on him over the past four years seems the best course of action. I can't find any articles discussing how much support Aristide has, but it sounds like nobody wants the rebels in power, and there are pro-Aristide demonstrations in the streets. Any anger toward Aristide might be explained by even **** economic standards due to a lack of any foreign help. Sometimes I think it's sickening. |

| Im new to this borad, and found it while trying to book a flight to Haiti for next year. It's harder than I thought it would be. I wanted to know if any of you have ever been to Haiti, and whether or not anyone speaks French well, because I'll be trying some out within the next couple of weeks. I dont want to disrespect anyone by not speaking their language or assuming they should speak English. Is that even the correct nat'l language? I still have research to do, but if yall wanna respond, hit me up fatal_fashions@blackplanet.com |
