Can we please stop with the incredibly witty rebuttals of lines of emoticons by pointless pictures?

I believe this thread had a topic at one point...

Anyhow, I strongly doubt that the democrats will implode anytime soon. Ditto for republicans. I DO blame republicans for the current Democrat KIND of complete lack of implosion though. With so many two-edged swords flung about the last few years, it's actually pretty surprising they've taken this long to rebount enough.

As for dire predictions... since you disagree with her, I'm sure when pelosi manages to push moderate reforms though the house it WILL seem like failure to you.

Care to go on the record and plot out her future successes in detail? I'll save a link to the thread for fun. 8:)

I'm sure there is no doubt that whatever good Pelosi may do while in Congress will be immediately regarded by the losing rightwingers intent on that "bullseye on her wild eyes" as failure.

That's not a prediction of the future, it's a certainty. 8:)

Top U.S. Intel potentially going to the highest bidder is not worth even chancing it. I hope Harmon gets the shot she deserves. She is a straight shooter, IMHO. 8:)

Because it shuts people like you up. 8:)

I am looking forward to the day they will not have anything left to whine about.....

Did Pelosi and Reid resign yet? It sure is quite a stumble coming out of the gate.

Yes, I am sure her resignation is in process.

BTW, what is it like on the planet where you live?

We are having an economic downturn in real estate.

I know.... but it will get progressively more entertaining as they have to come up with more and more creative ways to blame the dems.....

We learn from the best...

I think there is a lot of irony with this situation. Bush and Pelosi will both start the new Congress as Lame Ducks.

Pelosi is going to start her session as the lead wolf in the pack who are going to shred Bush and his useless policies, starting with cutting back on the funding for the Iraq war and rescinding the massive tax cuts lining the pockets of the top 1% of this nation.

You and Bush don't seem to realize, he can plump up his chest and make proclamations all he wants.... but congress holds the purse strings and he no longer has a blank check. Add to that the fact that most within his own party have abandoned him, and wouldn't throw an ice cube his direction if he was on fire.

He is about to get a long, slow beating..... and Pelosi is going to be holding the whip.

That's who pelosi is.

Gotta save this thread... frankly sir, you don't know Pelosi. You don't know her professionally nor personally - so you don't know who Pelosi is. As far as the beatings go - perhaps. The overturning of the policies, perhaps, once Bush is out of office. Politics are cyclical... less cyclical historically for Democrats, however, as I've pointed out before - sooner or later the Dems will need to do something or get voted out again for being a "do nothing" Congress. I wouldn't be so fast to let your mouth cash checks you ass can't afford.

I'm willing to give Pelosi a chance.

I guess so.... some of the Bushophiles are already calling for her impeachment.

And speaking of Hastings.... and FOX's "fair and balanced" ###COUGH! (baloney) COUGH!#### news coverage, I remembered an old article where they did a hatchet job on him.

I did get a chuckle at one of the paragraph titles they put in the article to ridicule him:

Alcee You in Court

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,230613,00.html

It's a play on words.

When you don't have to worry about accuracy, you are so much more free to unleash your creative side!

maybe Pelosi should have listened to her own words ( on Jefferson) before even bringing Alcee into the picture.... from your article Alizard
Quote: "This is not about a court of law. This is about a higher ethical standard, and you know when it isn't being met" yes... Nancy.. you are correct.. you could have saved yourself some hassle by sticking to that in the first place

anyways.. Mr Hastings... Alcee you in the funny papers :hi:
