Which features is it lacking of 2004? It seems that they are adding new features in the form of new vehicles as well as changes to weapons. The gameplay should be a bit different, if they want to innovate. Otherwise if it had the exact same stuff in it and exact gameplay it would merely be a cosmetic upgrade and not a sequel.

Personally I perfer innovation and new gameplay over playing the same game for years on end. What your asking for sounds just like what the BF series delivers, the same thing old thing with just different graphics.
