| with the other systems dropping there prices, i think it might backfire. i think the lower prices will cause gamers to pick up two systems rather than one. if you can get a wii for 250 why not pick up a ps3. it was only 250. not many people would by two systems if they were 500 a piece. 250 for one of them is not that bad though. i guess for the holiday market parents will buy there kids the system that is 250 rather than 600. but parents can't even get their kid the ps3 so it doesn't really matter. if i were microsoft i would say f**k lowering my price for the holidays, you can't even get that other s**t. |

They aren't lowering the price of the 360.
At best they will bundle it with some goodies and keep the price the same. |

If they lower the price I would suspect it would be after the holiday season, as you've stated if they cannot buy a PS 3 or Wii because they are sold out that will boost 360 sales.
Also if someone wishes to purchase a 360 they can go to Micro Center, they give a $100 rebate on the 360 (Premium or Core). So you'd get a Core for $200 or $50 cheaper than the Wii. Yesterday my friend purchased a Premium from them due to the $100 rebate. Also there are a lot of retailers that are doing bundles now for the regular $400 System. |
