This is actually a toughie.
The Godfather was an excellent film. The trilogy? Not so excellent.
Whereas every Naked Gun film was, by definition, amazing. |

| Trilogies are arbitrarily defined as having 3 episodes, which is silly. Consider rocky, it very well could have only 3 episodes if the fan interest only demanded 3. For such a poll, consider only trilogies that are meant to be trilogies, not let's make one and see how this does and then make another type of things. |
