Tom Hayden wrote: It is not for holiday purposes that George Bush and Condoleeza Rice are meeting next week with Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki in Amman while Dick Cheney rushes to Saudi Arabia.
The only question being kept from the American people is what the high-level talks are about.
Secretive wars include secretive diplomacy. The American people will be the last to find out what future is being prepared in the flurry of events beginning now.

Quote: President Bush and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki will meet next week in Jordan to discuss the deteriorating security situation in Iraq.
Their meeting Nov. 29-30 comes as various groups contemplate the direction of the U.S.-led war. A Pentagon committee and the congressionally chartered Iraq Study Group have been preparing reports for Bush, and Iran has asked the presidents of Iraq and Syria to meet in Tehran.
Bush, Iraqi Prime Minister to Meet Next Week in Jordan to Discuss Iraqi Security

Quote: Bush and al-Maliki last met July 25 in Washington.
National security adviser Stephen Hadley told reporters that when the two leaders meet in Jordan, "We're not looking for a big, bold announcement,
The meeting will allow a joint commission established to examine how to speed up the transition from coalition to Iraqi security forces to report to Bush and al-Maliki, Hadley said.
"It will also be an opportunity for the president and the prime minister to review the situation in Iraq more generally and talk about the way forward in order to accomplish ... move toward our objectives in an expeditious way," he said.
The idea for a meeting came up a week or more ago, and plans accelerated in the last few days, Hadley said.
No big announcemenjt expected?

| Maybe they're just trying to find a new place to call home. Similar to when the Shah was expelled from Iran. |

| Narrow vision. Cheney and Bush need to discuss IRAN with all our players in the region. You think Bush is going to roll over because Pelosi is marginally controlling the House. What a hoot. 8:) |

Mr Bumble wouldn't be doing a darned thing if he didn't have to.
If Repubs had both houses he would be cutting brush in Crawford. |

I think Bush and Cheney routinely Shat themselves...anytime the words "Democratic Control" and "subpoena power" are brought up in any given conversation. |

All you have todo to realize why the world is in a pickle is to read this thread.
I suppose it never occurred to the nutcases that Bush might be going to discuss THE WAR with the Iraqi leader. Oh My GOD! It's a secret meeting!!!!!!!! They aren't going to tell us or the terrorists or the whacked our murdering sectarian fighters what they are doing!!!!!!! It's - IT'S another CONSPIRACYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!
I wonder if the epople that think about things this way look attheir coffee and suspect that the GOVERNMENT has laced their morning beverage with mind control drugs - or glance suspiciously at their carpet wondering if each filliment might be a tiny fiber optic camera recording everything they do - collected on the NSA's giant domestic spy computer so that if they make ne misstep - they will be taken in the middle of the night by MIB and waterboarded. |

The point is, Bush is a reactionary politician who does what he does because events force him to it. If he had a plan he would have bragged the hell out of it before he went. By not outlining his aims he's saying to me .. "golly I guess I gotta go and see what I can do to keep Iran from completing my mission". |

You exposed the "secret", and scared the heck out of a small percentage of America, ............ it's hot tea time for them, not to mention hardwood floors. NSA will never know the level of their paranoia.

I disagree fully. Methods in place for defeating threats on the homefront are brilliant, and they, are not "bragged" about, they are only exposed through the media by those who choose to sabotage American security and interests.

Thank you for reinforcing my point. As we all know now, methods to prevent 9-11 style attacks were not in place even when all high level officials had prior warning that such attacks were impending. Nothing was done until after those attacks ... reactionary. [i]"golly I guess I gotta go and see what I can do to keep teerorists from flying planes into buildings on the homefront".

I have the ad there to demonstrate that advertisers have more flexibility posting their message than we do. We will see how amused you are when the following ad shows up.

So if Jesus and Mohammed had a fight who would win?
Quote: For believers in a religion whose institutions have been more or less equated with the state's institutions in a theocracy, a theocracy is a form of government in which the divine power (in monotheisms the one God) governs an earthly human state, either in person (e.g. as incarnation in a human) or, more often, via its religious institutional representative(s) (e.g. church, temple), either replacing or dominating the organs of civil government as clerical or spiritual representative(s) of god(s).
Next time you have a thought ... let it go. Ron White  |

You should be ashamed Chingu - don't you realized you just inspired about a dozen new threads in the "alternate" theories section?
Regarding diplomacy, you'd have to have a pretty shallow grasp of history not to realize that most the important maneuvers in world history have been worked out in secret before it ever became common knowledge.
Regarding signatures, what exactly are you trying to prove by showing that Google ad? Google posted a "Democrats Suck" here? What the heck does that prove?
First thing, this forum is totally free, and so you should be thankful that those ads help to keep it that way. Also, have you not seen "impeach Bush" ads and the likes dozens and dozens of times here? If not, you haven't been paying attention. Finally, you should click on those Democrats Suck ads because not only will you be supporting PCF, but you'll also be draining those people's ad budgets as someone who is completely unreceptive to their message. I click on the Democratically-themed messages all the time. |

I have no doubt that people who believe anything Bush tells them are probably experiencing some serious lacing in their coffee. |

Dateline 11/28/06
on the eve of going to speak with the elected leader of Iraq Mr Bungle tells us:
There is no civil war.
The fighting is all to blame on Al Keida
He's going to ask Nouri al-Maliki what he thinks we should do.
Why haven't the Republicans impeached this guy?
He's going to come back with ...
1. Magic beans?
2. A t-shirt that says .. the troops died in Iraq and all I got was this lousy t-shirt?
3. A cease fire agreement.
I say no cease fire agreement then we don't let him come back.
let HIM rule Iraq. |

Like the article said, nobody knows what he's going for. At this point, your guess is about as valid as that of the "nutcases." |
