| It's mostly about housecleaning...dust off some shelves here--oh a little dustbunny, put that in the trash...oh the dog pooped, time to punish him...my the TV doesn't work, time to call the repairman...keep getting advertisement calls, time to block their phone number...etc. |

Hate to tell you this.. dressing up for certain.... occasions isn't something new. I had a maid costume for example.. way back in '88. Not sure what you mean by maid fetish phenonmenon has become mainstream? It's been around awhile.. in America. 'Course we don't have *parades* featuring costumes and roleplaying get ups.. but w/e. I don't "get" the whole fascination with the asian stuff nowadays.
