There's also a book coming out, that presents evidence of high crimes for about eight individuals in the Bush Administration, that's written by an individual with a background in law, and the US Court system.

I'd hoped that US Presidents would have learned from the lessons of Nixon, they're not "above the law." I think it's high time the point is proven again.

How about we impeach citizens who start stupid threads like this one . This is pure crap in it's grandest form. Don't forget to wipe!!

I forgot to wipe once. It wasn't cool.

But I think there is a major difference between starting a thread similar to ten billion others, and starting a costly war.

the debate on impeachment is legitimate as their a multitude of "impeachable offenses' that could be lodged against bush and/or cheney....but doing so would not be fruitful as it deflects attention from a dozen more important issues....

How about offering up an intelligent comment next time? The issues of impeachment are serious, and the ethical lapses by this administration are stunning.

Perhaps it is YOU who needs some wiping. Afterall, you're new around here.

Welcome to PC. :hi:

 Ever since Nov 7 2004, I've been saying that Bushius would get himself impeached by April 2007. :-D

It's going to be an interesting year.

Well, at this point from what I've seen, I still oppose impeachment. Mainly becuase what you charged will never be proven and this will do nothing but cost a sh!tload of taxpayer money simply for a political embarrassemnt.

... dosent this sound oddly like an investigation? so ... are you for an investigation or against one?

some honest advice for you.

You should sit back and observe for a week or two, because a good amount of people around here can show you how to intelligently debate. Stuff like the above is childish and really doesn't impress anyone.

No one that's the whole point. The LOGCAP contract was designed to prevent the need for a consuming bid process while troops are in the field. Companies bid for the LOGCAP contract in peace time. When the military in the field needs something done like a jail built they turn to their LOGCAP partner.

Another thing. Someone please tell me what is a waste of time investigating one of the most corrupt organizations known to man? Governments in general (not just the U.S. and NOT just republicans) are known for their corruption and thievery.

Alot of you on the right are completly blinded by your party, 6 years ago you were screaming investigation for clinton but now because its a republican you think its a waste of time? Try and tell me thats not a slap in the face coincidence.

Democrat or republican or independant alike, these parties need to be kept in check. If you are against these checks and balances from your leaders you should do the rest of the country a favor and move out before you elect a president who will try to take away our rights!

..oh... too late ...

in a few more weeks, the investigations will proceed...perhaps the republicans can learn what REAL oversight means.....not just investigations of BJ or superbowl tickets
but into the deep fraud and corruption rampant thru out our govt and our MIC

I honestly hope the dems are smart enough to avoid that pitfall. The GOP misuse of the impeachment prceedings has sullied it irrepairably. In the eyes of the sheeple, a dem impeachment will make them look petty, desperate and veangeful.... in other words, just like republicans. And in the next election, they will pay the price for it.

The dems should not fall for that. They should be putting up actual positive legislation which the GOP will vote down. In that way, the people will see who is trying to fix the mess the GOP has made.

democratic investigations into the fraud and corruption will be enough....going into impeachment is a disservice best left to republicans to do

At the risk of learning from the slimeballs...... the best way to get the crooks is to win the white house. Then install an honest man in charge of the justice department and tell him:

SIC 'EM!

That way it looks like the government doing what it is supposed to do, not people on a witch hunt.

Yes LOGCAP is a bid contract to provide logistical support for the military.
