No social welfare system is sustainable over the long term.
They exist only to make you weak and dependent.. easier to control, and if necessary, easier to kill.
Governments should never be trusted in this capacity.
Yup, the gov't cheese give away of the 80's was a ploy to kill millions off the welfare roles; genocide by constipation. |

Speaking globally, you're more likely to be murdered by your government than by another citizen.
What he says is true, and we see it here in the U.S. How many people plan an effective retirement plan? Very few, because they believe the government has taken care of that for them. Dependence and control. |

Perhaps first you should learn the rules of English.
Really, your continuous murder of the English language makes understanding you a convoluted task.
What is your excuse for this? I am a wrong to assume that you are a grown adult?

In my opinion , your arguements are based in the fragile logic of personal insult and ad hominem. You had made an unsubstantiated assertion about the effect of Republican policy, when questioned , you attacked the questioner ,and the method he used to question you, rather than providing a cogent defense ( when many are available to you).
Your subsequent posts-if you are honest, and examine them objectively yourself-are a continuation of unintelligent ego defense.
Basically, you have shown yourself to be a yap-yap Dog
And Thrilla-a former objective poster-turned-moderator, has again shown himself to be a Doberman-who has to put up with yap-yap dogs, and in your case is showing the patience of Job.........

I know. The old guard dog could just tear him to pieces, but he won't. He's too calm. By that I mean he's the right amount of calm. The yap yap dog will nip and nip on his neck, and run around yapping and yapping and barking success; but the old dog knows whats important and whats not important.
That's why they made him a moderator.
My post is just a statement -this place has a whole bunch of people that totally disagree with each other.
Personally, I disagree with about half of what Thrilla posts. I think he's wrong quite a few times. But so what. I know he knows that manners and respect is the gear oil that removes the friction between brains talking
in the gearbox of words. That's what get different ideas rolling. I disagree with him, but I respect Thrilla.
This other yap yap dog guy is just walking around slashing tires and trying to act cool. You can't roll anywhere with slashed tires. |

if anyone is expecting the COUNTRY to make there life like Donald Trump, then you are right, the Country failed.
But if you want to LIVE in a County that gives you the opportunity to become Donald Trump, then
you are DEAD WRONG.
We are not hated around the world, that is a friggin talking point.
We have the best Eduaction system in the world.
But you actually have to attend school to obtain the benefit.
IF you want to complain that the Country needs to give you more.
then so be it.
There's more people like me, who Love this Country and what it stands for then people who want more free stuff and think they are owed a pwycheck and a benefit just for being born here.
In my entire liefetime I have collected unemployment for 2 weeks. Everything I own and have accomplished I did by getting up and going to work everyday.
The USA is not and never was intended to be the Country of the FREE LUNCH. The party of the handouts turned this Country into the FREE LUNCH society.
and, of all the Countries in the world, who is it that hates us again ?
Iran, Chavez, Cuba etc..
What exactly do they bring to the table for there own countries ? |

Wait, he's his own country now? That damn megalomaniac... I knew it was only a matter of time before he took the proud people of Venezuala and turned them into Chavites.
War! That is the only response, and open war on Chavez!
Oh, and just for the sake of it, socialised healthcare rocks, but then again, I would say that wouldn't I? |

While I won't refute this, I'd prefer the system allow for Americans in America to have a "chance" of striking it rich, rather then allowing the whole world to come here and strike it rich.
To live the American dream, you ought to be an American. Not some Chinese dude in an office in China selling stuff to Americans.
jamesp wrote: We are not hated around the world, that is a friggin talking point.
No, we're not hated. We're envied.
And now that we're giving away to the world everything that was once great about us, the world is more then happy to pick the scraps.
This 1 world philosophy is going to be the death of us.
jamesp wrote: We have the best Eduaction system in the world.

We "had" the best education system in the world. It was called finding a job and getting good old OJT.
But now that people cannot "land" jobs without having to get tons of education just to compete with workers that shouldn't be in our job markets to begin with, we can no longer get into jobs to learn anything.
jamesp wrote: If you want to complain that the Country needs to give you more.
then so be it.
I'm more concerned with what our country gives away.
jamesp wrote: There's more people like me, who Love this Country and what it stands for then people who want more free stuff and think they are owed a paycheck and a benefit just for being born here.
Born here, or legally immigrated here I don't care.
What bothers me, is our country not even being a country anymore.
It's a nation that's trying to create a 1 world philosophy, and unfortunatly, the world has no intention of this.
The more we open up, the more the rest of the world goes "oh goody, free jobs and money flowing one way and not the other....right into our pockets."
jamesp wrote: In my entire liefetime I have collected unemployment for 2 weeks. Everything I own and have accomplished I did by getting up and going to work everyday.
I've never collected unemployment. I came close once, but joined the Navy.
jamesp wrote: The USA is not and never was intended to be the Country of the FREE LUNCH. The party of the handouts turned this Country into the FREE LUNCH society.
The why are we giving a free lunch to China?
jamesp wrote: and, of all the Countries in the world, who is it that hates us again ?
Iran, Chavez, Cuba etc..
Well, considering that the rest of the world...especially China...is getting a free lunch off us, of course those three countries are going to be kicking themselves.
Any wonder that all of them are trying to create free trade agreements with "our" free trade partners like Mexico and China?
They want a piece of the "rob America blind" action that the rest of the world is getting.
jamesp wrote: What exactly do they bring to the table for there own countries ?
Nothing obviously. All they can do is sit and groan, and hope that China and Mexico will give them a piece of the pie, like I said.
As long as we follow this stupid 1 world philosophy, we're going to see the buzzards flying over our heads.
You seem like a hard working, patriotic American, but the Republican party, and the liberal part of the Democratic party is "not" for you.
We need protectionists back that believe that our borders are more then speed bumps.
Our borders should serve 3 goals.
1) Make us a soveriegn country.
2) Protect us from invasion. (I include illegal aliens looking for our jobs in this catagory.)
3) Protect us from the trade practices of Communist, and Slave using nations like China.
America seems to have forgotten why it industrialized to begin with.
We became industrialized in the absense of trade, NOT because of it.
The Embargo Act of 1807 stopped "all" outgoing trade from the United States. All of it.
It caused alot of rich people to lose a whole lot of money...however, the need to provide goods to the American consumers industrialized alot of New England...especially the textile industry which benefitted the most.
Amazingly, Thomas Jefferson who was the biggest critic of making the United States into an industrial power...went farther then Alexander Hamilton (a protectionist) could possibly dream.
Now of course, I'm not suggesting anything that extreme. But a return to pre-Clinton era would deffinatly make me happy. He's the one that got us into this mess. Likewise, it's the business side, not the Conservative side of the Republican party that keeps it going.
It drives me nuts that no matter who we vote for, we've only got one choice on the biggest issue of our lifetimes. (That, and the fact that the biggest issue in our lifetimes doesn't even get recognized as an issue of contention.) Who would be against "free" trade eh? It's FREE!
Oh..wait...that's just a word they put in there cause it sounded like "freedom" and that you might get a "free lunch" as you put it=0). |

slitedeviance..
of course CHAVEZ is not a Country , it was a statement error ..it should have read "Venezuala."
actually spelled Venezuela .
but you already knew that and instead went into a complete useless diatribe about the subject.
Repeat after me
Chavez is not a County..
but he openly speaks against our Country, charges us a fortune for OIL and GIVES IT to CUBA for basically nothing.
So would you rather live in Venezuela ? What is it that Chavez offers that you cannot find or attain here on US soil ?
thats the point of the debate that I offer not an statement error which you already knew what I was talking about.
and

Sorry dude, it's called seeing the funny side.

Chavez is not a count... sorry, just couldn't do it...
Quote: but he openly speaks against our Country, charges us a fortune for OIL and GIVES IT to CUBA for basically nothing.
Oh Noes! How dare he have preferntial trading partners! Also, he offered free heating oil to Alaskans earlier on this year. Thats ACTUALLY nothing as opposed to BASICALLY nothing.
Quote: So would you rather live in Venezuela ? What is it that Chavez offers that you cannot find or attain here on US soil ?
I'd rather live in the UK, which is useful, because I do. Chavez could offer to show me round his home, which I believe I could not find on US soil.
Quote: thats the point of the debate that I offer not an statement error which you already knew what I was talking about.
Calm down dude, like I say, it was funny so I played up to it with my compadre. Did you know Chavez were a band? Because I learned something new today! |

Quote: 3) Protect us from the trade practices of Communist, and Slave using nations like China.
The trade between the US and China is a win-win situation, like free trade is always. China invests significant amounts of wealth to the American securities pushing its own currency down and thus advancing its export business. Meanwhile the US economy is doing well, interest rates are down and American consumers got wealth to spend in Chinese export articles, for example.
But on the other hand it's true, China is a one huge nation standing on the way of the freedom and civilisation in the world. Economy is quite free, which should lead in working middle-classes' revolution within, say, a couple of decades to throw out the totalitarian government. |

Where's the proof that our education system is inferior?
Have you been to Britain lately and encountered the "typical" Brit?
Are you aware that in France you have to pass a test or the government won't pay for your college? And you must go to tech school?
Where's the proof that our "hospitals are going down?" Don't believe it for a minute! We still have the best healthcare in the world.
"Gaining more and more people "within" poverty?" We'll assume this awkward wording is not representative of your education. Fair enough?
We are not getting more people in poverty. |

Quote: Where's the proof that our education system is inferior?
US is ranked 13th on affordability of education, 14th in education costs, 9th in out of pocket costs, 4th in accessibility and 12th in racial parity. The United States focuses more on procedure, and we try to teach many topics fast. Other countries tend to break topics up and go much more in-depth.
Quote: Have you been to Britain lately and encountered the "typical" Brit? Basing your opinion of a certain countries educational level by meeting some people from that country isn't a good way to gauge the countries system of education.
Quote: Are you aware that in France you have to pass a test or the government won't pay for your college? And you must go to tech school? France has a number of engineering and other specialised higher education establishments, that are an alternative to universities. Which is common in European countries. These schools by the way are government funded.
Quote: Where's the proof that our "hospitals are going down?" Don't believe it for a minute! We still have the best healthcare in the world. We may have the best health care, but we also have some of the lowest accessibility to the best health care, when compared to western European countries.
Quote: We are not getting more people in poverty.
The US poverty rate has increased every year from 2000 to 2006. |
