|
|
Once upon a time Bush used to compare the Al Qaeda terrorists to a threat that would fail just like communists and fascists had .
In October 2005 he came out with...
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/10/20051006-3.html
Quote: Some call this evil Islamic radicalism; others, militant Jihadism; still others, Islamo-fascism. Whatever it's called, this ideology is very different from the religion of Islam. This form of radicalism exploits Islam to serve a violent, political vision: the establishment, by terrorism and subversion and insurgency, of a totalitarian empire that denies all political and religious freedom. These extremists distort the idea of jihad into a call for terrorist murder against Christians and Jews and Hindus -- and also against Muslims from other traditions, who they regard as heretics.
You´ll note that he was not calling them Islamofascists... just noting the fact that some people did.
The following month, in his Strategy for Victory in Iraq, he made no mention of the term, but instead, in his "clear" definition of who the enemy was, referred to the largest element of it as being "ordinary Iraqis".
Then in August 2006 we had, not a reference to it use, but his own use of the term..
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/08/20060810-3.html
Quote:
The recent arrests that our fellow citizens are now learning about are a stark reminder that this nation is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom, to hurt our nation.
But since August.......?
Is anyone aware of him using the term since?
We have a situation where he has first referred to others use of it, then defined the enemy without using the term, then used the term himself...and now...he seems that he doesn´t use it.
It begs the questions ...why use it in the first place? Why start using it and then stop? Why compare them countless times to communists but never use the expression "Islamic communists"?
I just get the impression that Bush really doesn´t know how to properly describe the enemy he has engaged the forces of the US into fighting.
Which is not that clever for someone who only a year ago declared....
Quote: As we fight the enemy in Iraq, every man and woman who volunteers to defend our nation deserves an unwavering commitment to the mission -- and a clear strategy for victory. A clear strategy begins with a clear understanding of the enemy we face

The hoards of Hezbollah militants in the picture above are Iranians, yes. Is your liberal vision filter blocking your ability to view the picture? Do the world a favor; turn the filter off. 8:) |

I was talking about him stating that a raised arm doesn't automatically = fascists, because we know that Bush is a fascist. |

The 45th Infantry Division of the United States Army used a yellow swastika on a red background as a unit symbol until the 1930s.

Hitler stole his swastika from the Indian religion and flipped it. Big whoops.
Quote: The origin of swastika symbol is rooted in hoary past. It appeared as a holy symbol in Mesopotamia, Babylonia, and ancient Greece in similar designs. Variations are also noticed in South and Central American (native American) relics. All these point out to some ancient, common religious rite used by ancient man for invoking a powerful deity, mostly connected with prosperity.
www.kamat.com/indica/culture/sub-cultures/swastika.htm
Go research something useful like the speech, deeds, and goals of Hezbollah. Nazi fascism and Islamic fascism have a lot more in common than the Indian swastika and Hitler's version. |

| Bush must have found out that just because you are a religious extremist, doesn't mean you are a fascist. Hezbollah for instance is an extremist group, but they have a large social welfare program. You can't really call them fascists. |
