Feel free to elaborate.
I am currently feeling "AAAAHHHHH GET ME OUTTA HERE", and by "here" I mean school.
So the dining hall was cool at first. Like wow, its really pretty, we can pretend we are at Hogwarts! But now, the thought of the dining hall makes me nauseated. I would go eat somewhere else, but I have no money. I could go bum money in the square, but I have no time.
I am about to fail out. "Oh man," you say, "She must be in some hard courses!".... well you bet I am, but that is not what I am failing from. I am failing from a f***ing foreign language requirement in a class called "BEGINNER SPANISH A". I just suck at it, my brain refuses to cooperate in that class. Throw chemistry, biology, and calculus at me all you want, but that Beginner Spanish will really trip me up.
Oh and then there is hockey, the love of my life. 2 hours of practice, 1/2 hour of lifting, 5 days a week, games on the weekend (games are an all-day affair). This is not a small deal, our team is extremely serious. I'm honored to be a part of it, but that doesn't mean it doesnt STRESS ME OUT!!!!!
I love my friends, they are great. Our idea of fun is hanging out at the library and studying (and mind you, we are not the most studious bunch on the campus, we are the jocks. you don't want to know what the non-jocks do for fun). Sometimes, if we are feeling adventuresome, we hang out at Widener Library rather than Lamont. If we are feeling SUPER crazy, we might hang out at Starbucks until it closes (but we inevitably end up at a library by morning). If we don't much work to do, we lay on the floor in someones dorm and watch reruns of Gray's Anatomy, followed by a group cry about how depressed we are, followed by daydreams about where each of us would rather be.
I mean, there are highs and lows of course. I am highlighting the lows to make my readers pity me and emphasize the reasons why I am STRESSED AS A MOTHER FUKCER right now. Then throw into the mix some very stressful/depressing family issues that surface every now and then when my mom calls (my dad doesn't call because we no longer acknowledge each other's existence), and the fact that one of my friends, who has selected me as the sole person to whom she tells all her problems/secrets, is undergoing some serious difficulties surrounding her eating disorder, inferiority complex, and sexual identity (and then swears she will kill me if I tell anyone).

I'm pretty damn relaxed these days. My current job and subsequent life have been a lot of what I wanted, not a lot of work, work that is fun when it does come around, and no stress or deadlines. I play with 3D Studio Max and post on here all day. Then I go work out, eat, watch tv, play some more, and sleep. Things are good. No stress.
But two years ago, when I worked at that goddamn miserable stress pool hellhole in Indianapolis, well...every single time an oncoming car passed by me while driving to work each morning, every single time, I thought, if only for a split second, if only in the back of my mind...
Just...just one little jerk....one little quick swerve...and the stress is all over.
Well, good thing things are better now. |

Yup. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Most modern jobs pretty much don't want you do be happy. You really can't ever relax, it's always some bulls**t that can wait, but they don't want it to.
At least it's only a video conference. Should only be an hour wasted, and you can do it from home. |

I'm about to deal with the famous New York City Holliday traffic. I'm 'bout to get road rage homicidal.
But it's all good.... :-/ |

It's more than an hour (with translations it will be closer to 2 1/2) and it's at the office, since I'm not the only one involved on my end. :? |

Hey Gryff! Where have you been? I missed you....
I'm pretty content these days, no stress, just trying to get healthy and in shape.
But I start my college courses in December, so I know it's coming... it's inevitable, I know how I react to pressure. |

What's up? I've just been busy, I have to remind myself to breath sometimes. I have a little break for the holidays (don't get to go home though, hockey doesn't take time off, so I'm on my way to practice now). Feel free to PM me the latest PC gossip. |

Of course it is.
Can't even have Thanksgiving weekend. We were just talking about this in news and events, how they want people to work all the time.
I mean, I understand how you need to do what is needed for the company to succeed but.....
Makes one wish they were back in High School or College, when you just knew you had certain days off you could count on. |

I'm fine for the most, with the exception of me and my friends not talking to each other.
And how come there's no "I can't take it, please kill me!!" option :-D |

| i'm pretty relaxed. headed over to Bend, Oregon to petition for a week or two. i was going to get a booth at america's largest christmas bazaar at the portland expo but that didn't work out. found a product that would sell well in places like san francisco and berkeley so i might head down there in a few weeks. im pretty much set with high paying work until next summer so im happy. |
