Robert Murdoch decided that the book was a bad idea and now he's not going to publish the book or air the interview. Unfortunately some independent publisher is going to print because it will make money. But a small victory for decency. |

| Well that was stupid. Even if he is writing a book with a somewhat-bizzare idea, I don't think its this man's job to stop publishing a book because he thinks it's a bad idea. |

| As I understand it that's exactly his job, he is the owner of the company is he not? So wouldnt the image be important to him? |

On another note, one win for freedom of speech. :? |

Why didn't he figure out it was a bad idea before he agreed to publish the book and pay OJ's advance retainer? |

The author in me hears the whisper of "censorship" on the breeze, and cringes. The human being in me says, "thank god this murdering bastard won't get more money and publicity out of his wholesale slaughter of two people."
The human being in me wins the debate. I'm glad this despicable piece of garbage has been scrapped. |

I highly doubt that the word "decency" was involved in Murdoch's decision to pull the book.
I'd say "fallout" would be more appropriate. |

| I guess this Robert Murdoch is more interested in his own image than Freedom of speech, which is his right to not publish, or to protest. But to suggest he supports the 1st Amendment rights is a twisted view of what is happening here. |
