| I'm sure it will come to that. If so, it could at least gain us a couple of European allies, although I doubt it, but it at least creates the possibility. |

Which it won't. Iran seeks prestige, not land or resources. It doesn't even need to have proxy control of other people's resources.
At worst it will fight the same proxy ideological wars other [including western] countries involve themselves in, however it has no great motivation to risk its territories in something like a nuclear strike.
people make the mistake of thinking Iranians are dumb terrorists. if those I met are anything to go by they are some of the smartest people anywhere. |
