Yeah, and they hurt us immensely with those planes.
THis does not answer his question. Your response and his question is miles different.
Since you quoted his quote, I'm suspecting you want to try to answer it. Maybe a second reading will help with the comprehension of said question that was apparently not attained the first time. So, let's try again...

| Why would the largest terrorist organization in the world, the United States government, want to give other terrorists "rights"? |

Why can we not give these people a fair trial, or any other legal rights a suspected criminal would have? Just because they killed Americans? We are supposed to be spreading democracy, but I guess the values of a democracy only apply to Americans.
You know thats funny, I never understood why some people think we should give rights, too those who seek too deny everyone else the most basic right there is. The right too be alive.
Oh, and in answer to the "whats the difference" question. There is none, an american citizen that blows up a building IS a terrorist.
They would be subject too the very same anti-terrorism laws that are on the books today. |

There's no strength is denying others rights. That's the easy and weak way to do things. Bush is right, America wasn't weakend by the change of power in Congress, it was strengthened by it. The same holds true for those who stick to their ideals. This is a simply not a fight for survival. We are not at the point of desperation where we need to be using whatever means necessary. That's only what the people who want to advance that agenda are saying.
Except they would not be labled enemy combatants and would get a trial in the US court system. The rules haven't changed for a Timothy McVeigh. |
