Yes it appears true comrades, Daniel Ortega has sold out to christian conservatism. Just as America for the recent past has been sold on christian conservatism, and as much of the middle east has been stuck on radical Islam.

Now they're outright banning abortion.

I think majority of Americans are a step behind the Europeans. They have allowed the notion of tolerance to poision their respect for plain common sense and Enlightenment culture. They want to be tolerant of other peoples' views, and it ends up that the crazy people are the only ones doing all the talking.

We need a political and governmental makeover. Separation of Church and State may not be overtly stated in our constitution, but I believe it's time we draw the line. The United States should condemn this assult on Women's rights. Then we should start passing legislation here at home that's actually supposed to help people.

Freeing up Healthcare.

Saving Social Security.

Adequately funding our Space Program.

Cutting Corporate and Government corruption.

No more Ted Haggards in the White House!

There are a lot of Catholics in the country. He is merely pandering to them. Blame the populace.

He didn't pander so much to their catholicism the first time around. But thanks to us he ended up in a bloody civil war that cost thousands of lives, just because he was a socialist.

I guess Regan was successful. Nicaragua now has no hope for a real progressive future.

Reagan is dead and gone. Nicaragua's success or failure as a "progressive" nation is determined by its own citizens. Once again, blame the populace for demanding this policy change. If the nation doesn't want abortion, that's the way things are.

I haven't got a clue what side you're on when I read this.

He didn't pander to them first time round but he is this time so there's no progression this time around? When last time araound saw a bloody civil war?

""Thanks to us" thousands of lives were lost."

" I guess Regan was successful?"
