This is the time of year I run out and stock up on toiletries, canned goods, hot pockets, and any games or clothing I may need for the next two months. I hate this time of year and that materialism coupled with Christmas turns everyone into instant asshats for the next two months. The traffic s*cks, people try to run you down in the parking lot, it's shoulder to shoulder in every damn store.

Christmas should be banned.

Anyone else with me on this?

I also forgot to add the fact that it clogs the damn internet. I just need some random computer part from Newegg.com and because of all the morons buying people Christmas gifts I have to wait for eternity to get it shipped. All other ecommerce is also inundated with bullsh!t. Plus, all the idiot script kiddies and wanna be hackers come out of the woodwork this time of year to intercept credit card numbers and provide DNS attacks shutting down everything for days.

And people need to stop hogging all the high speed bandwidth in the neighborhood to send photos of their ugly kids and families and goofy Christmas bullsh!t, nobody cares. The person you are sending it to probably hates you anyway.

Funny story:

Last year here in Oregon, somebody decided to go to a major shopping center in N. Portland, where there were about 15 major retail outlets, on the morning after thanksgiving, when people start officially going insane, getting up at 5 am to hit the shopping, and he put superglue into all the door-locks, rendering them unopenable. People stood there for like 6 hours while they got the locksmiths to get the doors opended up. People were pretty pissed. I was pretty amused.

I would give Christmas the finger if it weren't for the fact that I'm Santa Claus to two children. If it weren't for them, I'd fly to a tropical island and hide until after the first of the new year.
