This isn't "Greed"; this is opportunity knocking at the door.

how did it make no sense.
I said greed is what is behind this madness for the PS3, not the parents.

less than 1% of parents out there would wait in line for days, and then shell out over $600 for a game unit that you can't even purchase games for.

it is the screwballs who put it on Ebay, and the 30 yr old men living in mommas basement bidding on them.

It didn't make sense because you were blaming a trait.

The so called 'screw balls' may be putting them on ebay, but someone has to be paying those outrageous prices for them otherwise the 'screwballs' wouldn't bother.. now would they?

I'm 38 and wouldn't pay more than 150 for the stupid thing, so in my mind, any person who pays more than fair market value is a major idiot stick.

And YES, I am a parent and YES I believe that some of these dumbass people paying that bloated price for these systems are INDEED parents. However, I am not one of them.

after seeing what video games have done to my brother and a number of other people i know my children (if i ever get around to that ) will need to sneak to a friends house to play them. If they want it that bad they will need to earn the money themselves and buy it themselves. That goes for the games as well.

Video games are cool and make a good time killer..., but it is not a life.

Yes, precisely. And that is why responsible people limit their childrens 'gaming' time to a strict limit and flatly refuse to buy them whatever they want, whenever they want it. :-D

I'd rather give my children (whom aren't born yet, and won't be for awhile) limitless time/quantities with whatever they want, but to instill a set of values or whatever in them. Hopefully then they'd manage their own time and actions wisely

No it's not sad. There's a high probability, if they get past the, I'm depressed so I want to abort mentality, that the ones coming in may be a bit more enlightened then the ones leaving.
