Two things:

1. Why do people insist on targetting civilians? It seems to be the method of choice for terrorists, but it just seems cowardly to me.

2. "Prasad Ranjan Roy, Home Secretary of West Bengal state, said initial suspicion pointed to involvement of either a local Maoist group or separatist militants from neighboring Assam state."

Does anyone know who these people are and what their point of view is? I have never really understood the whole India/Pakistan thing to begin with and this involves two groups i didn't even know existed.
