I dig Glenn Beck. I think he explained his question in the interview and it's a question a lot of people are asking. To bury your head in the sand and not ask these questions is the product of political correctness which, in today's day and age can be deadly.

I am glad there are people out there like Beck that have the balls to stand up and ask the tough questions.

Yeah, asking a newly elected U.S. Representative if he's the enemy somehow equates to having the balls to ask the "tough" questions.

I'm glad Ellison went along and allowed Beck's inane comments. He must've known Glenn would be putting his foot squarely in his mouth.

I gotta say: did you expect the man to go, "actually, yes, I am working for the terrorists- got me there!"

Seriously, how is the question tough? How can it really even be answered?

I think we both know that you are blowing it out of proportion...

BECK: OK. No offense, and I know Muslims. I like Muslims. I've been to mosques. I really don't believe that Islam is a religion of evil. I -- you know, I think it's being hijacked, quite frankly.

With that being said, you are a Democrat. You are saying, "Let's cut and run." And I have to tell you, I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies."

And I know you're not. I'm not accusing you of being an enemy, but that's the way I feel, and I think a lot of Americans will feel that way.

ELLISON: Well, let me tell you, the people of the Fifth Congressional District know that I have a deep love and affection for my country. There's no one who is more patriotic than I am. And so, you know, I don't need to -- need to prove my patriotic stripes.

BECK: I understand that. And I'm not asking you to. I'm wondering if you see that. You come from a district that is heavily immigrant with Somalians. And I think it's wonderful, honestly, I think it is really a good sign that you are a -- you could be an icon to show Europe, this is the way you integrate into a country. I think the Somalians coming out and voting is a very good thing. With that --

ELLISON: I'd agree with you.

He can be as polite about it as he wants; he's still asking the question for the wrong reasons.

The question being tough not because it's hard to answer...but because of the obvious fallout it will/has created.

Beck's not a moron...he knew this would be gobbled up by the political correctness lemmings.

He isn't being polite. He was ensuring he wasn't misunderstood...apparently he did a poor job of that...

Because he makes jokes about people?

Despite the fact that we've elected a transexual, and refer to the big dude in the parking lot booth wearing lipstick and a dress as "auntie", you'd hate Hawaii. The majority of our humor is racially charged. Then again, we don't discriminate on who should and shouldn't be made fun of.
