Quote: French customs officers are inspecting a North Korean ship at an Indian Ocean island off the coast of Africa as part of U.N. sanctions prompted by the communist nation's nuclear test, but they found nothing illegal so far, officials said Thursday.
It was the first time a country was known to have stopped a North Korean vessel under U.N. Security Council Resolution 1718 authorizing searches as part of the sanctions imposed on Pyongyang for its nuclear test.
Quote: A U.S. Navy official said the United States has not searched any North Korean vessels.
It's one thing for Bush not to act against N. Korea, but to be upstaged by France has got to piss off more than a few people in DC
I hope they keep it up. :tu: |

| Funny - the French didn't do anything when a Frenchman shipped German Nuclear technology to North Korea...so it's not about being "upstaged" it's about making up for the F**K** They caused. |

So you're going to ignore the fact that the Germans said "such and such is trying to sell to North Korea equipment that can be used to build a Nuclear bomb with YOUR merchant vessel" and the French said "whatever" and did nothing about it? |

| Unfortunately, midway through inspection, they encountered a rat and surrendered. |

 :rotf: so funny !!!!! So your not seeing this as a direct result of Bush not sitting across from NK and pounding out a nice blackmailing like Billy did ? He has said many a time he thinks many others will get involved because they have a huge interest in this as well . This and China as well as Japans recent involment only proves he was correct and guess what its not going to cost the US 200,000,000 a year like it did the Clinton Admin . Nice job Bush ! Very smart indeed ! |
