OK, but a cell is neither a chicken nor an egg. IMO, there was something kind of like a chicken, which had a special relationship with another thing that was something like a chicken, the egg mutated, and from the mutated egg came a chicken. Thus, the chicken egg preceded the chicken. |

That's what I thought too. But that cell would be part of the egg before it was part of the chicken. |
