He ruined Germany's primary education and sought to change society.

Hitler is in fact...the perfect Democrat.

With Lott as Whip, the Republicans don't need a Majority in the Senate. Bush will never have to use a veto. The blow back form this election gets better to watch by the day.

It doesn't matter. Senator Lott is just as much a liability to Bush and his supporters as an asset. THEY were the ones who threw him out of his leadership position. Lott had a strong reaction to the Foley incident on many media outlets. Lott was hurt by them, and I don't think such transgressions are simply ignored in the US senate. I hope you don't forget those either. I'm not saying he'll ally with democrats, I'm just saying that the man will not be Mr. Bush's biggest cheerleader. At least, that's my opinion.

Procedure only goes so far in the senate anyway. Without control of the House, there are several important peices of legislation that the democrats now have control over, namely budget, and of course they have control over all the subcommittees so much more will see votes on the senate and house floor forcing republicans to go on the record on many issues they've dodged with their congressional majority. This was a loss for republicans.

The power of that position is the duties, not the press. Minority leader in the Senate will be the Republican Senate face to the public. The seat of power lies behind the throne. Most Americans don't know what a whip is or who Trent Lott was. Bottom line is he is back from the dead on a mission to prove his worth to his party. The best Whip in history will cripple the liberal agenda and twist it into a pretzel. Democrats can't pass a thing with Lott calling favors on just one Democrat per piece of legislation. Reid is an utter failure before he starts, just like Pelosi and her Majority Leader pick Murtha. Defeated before they ever led. Hell hath no fury like Republicans fighting for false vindication.
