| It's seems kind of funny to me that now that Murtha is up for the House Majority Leader position, all of a sudden he's unethical and should not hold that position, but hey it's cool if he serves in the House. Isn't this a little hypocritical? |

There is political infighting going on amongst the dems to see who gets the post. As usual, they have no problem eating their own.
You should have seen the two dem idiots out here in kali when Schwarzennegger's approval ratings were lower than Bush's last year. The two dems waged such a nasty campaign against each other that their numbers sank and Arnie won by a landslide.
They are not real bright. |

Yeah. The press is having a field day with it now; hardly mentioned when the "corruption" label was being placed on the Republicans. They also never mentioned Alcie Hastings.
That's one of the many ways they foster Democrats; withholding of truth about them.
Ever notice how when they have something negative they just can't ignore about a Democrat they wait until page 13 or paragraph 48 to mention that he's a Democrat? What fools they are! |

I just think it's a real sad day when Democrats like Hoyer are swiftboating a man like Murtha and his spotless record in Congress.
Don't they realize that anyone who has served and earned medals for bravery should be completely beyond any question of character for the rest of their political lives? |

Either you cut Fox a little slack for what could have been a simple mistake, or you've got to hold CNN accountable for their "mistake" in placing the big "X" over Cheney's face:

If you ask me, the "X" was a much more flagrant foul. |

Right, because a suprimposed X is going to misinform the public far more than misrepresenting the part denomination of disgraced legislators. |

Eh, it was a "simple mistake" it seems. Still odd, but you know, yesterday my cable went out for 30s during the Simpsons. It's an anti-Fox liberal cable company attack... or not.
Eh, I dont' care so much about the Fox graphics either. It's the blatant bias that gets me.

Its a necessary part of the process and the right time to do it. By doing it to ourselves now and getting matters dealt with we arm ourselves for future republican pre 2008 election attacks.
IMO this far wiser course of action then doing it all behind closed doors and facing repeated scandals through out the entire term like the republicans do. |

Unlike republicans who just ignore the many transgressions of their peers. Like sexually harassing e-maiils to minors, campaign ties to casino kingpins who've been tied to mob executions in Florida, stealing state tax dollars in rare coin scams and giving it to fellow republicans, ... you know, things like that.
(Well, they ignore it until it becomes a huge story...) |

| Unethical, insane, and crooked politicians have a right to serve in the House or the Senate if they get elected. Like it or not, that's the law. That does not mean they should be chosen to a higher position within the House or the Senate. |

Murtha was on the FBI film before the elections, they just forgot to show us all.
So, Will Pelosi have to step down because she KNEW Murtha was unethical ? I mean Foley resigned,..and the entire planet wanted Hasterts head on a platter...daily..
so using that standard, Murtha has to resign and Pelosi has to step down...
will that happen ?
Hastert was considered corrupt for knowing or possibly knowing about Foley..
So, isn't Pelosi guilty of the exact same thing, either knowing about Murtha or being suspected of knowing about Murtha ?
Heck, she is endorsing him !
Where are the Republicans all over TV on this one...for once they actually have the MEDIA with them..It is a STORY ! |

Quote: How is the situation between Foley/Hastart and Murtha/Pelosi the same?
Foley is scum and so is Murtha. One talked to little boys, and one is under constant investigation for funneling money to pet projects owned by his brother, a lobbyist just as crooked as Abramoff.
Both are as corrupt as they come. One resigned, Foley, and Dems called for Hastert's head because they figured he knew what Foley was doing. Everyone knows about Abscam and Murtha yet he's still in office and Pelosi is endorsing him.
If he resigns, should she step down as well since she knew about it? |
