Edwards is a douchebag.
I like Clark, though. |

How many Americans died in Bosnia? How many are still there?
Did you mean the Balkans?
How many Americans died in the Balkan war? How many are still there?
Air power only against an enemy without a ground to air defense?
Oh, and we're still there.
He couldn't general himself out of a wet paper bag.
Yes, that was a gigantic mistake. It's all over the news. Thousands of troops lost, billions of dollars spent, a hundred thousand civilians killed.....oh wait....that's Iraq.
I like Clark and Edwards. But I wish Colin Powell would run. I would love to see a Powell/Clark ticket, or a Clark Obama ticket.
I really don't think Hillary can pull it off, nor do I really want her to. We need clear headed centrists like Powell and Clark and Obama.
I really wish we could do 1780's style, and go with Clark/McCain. What a dream team.
Powell?
Powell is still too bitter from Cheney making him hold up the baby powder in the pre-invasion persuasion. He has had enough of politics. The Republicans will not run anyone that even smacks of Iraq. That rules out Powell and Rice who have both had enough of the Secretary job as it is. The next President is walking into a minefield from whatever Party they'll come from, IMHO. :) |

Who cares how many have died in the Balkans or how many we have?
We're still f***ing there.....What happened to a month?
http://www.state.gov/p/eur/rls/rm/2003/20900.htm
As of 2003 we had 2250 troops.
http://usinfo.state.gov/eur/Archive/2006/Feb/23-719714.html
In 2006 we had 1,700.
Why are we still there? |

For starters, they're both criminals. |

Who cares how many died?
Who has been in charge for the last 6 years, keeping them there?
We have troops in Japan, Germany, Korea, etc...
Are they in harms way?
How many have died or been maimed? |

Who sent them there in the first f***ing place? This was as pointless as anything we've ever done, even Vietnam.

With the exception of Korea, we're there for different reasons. We won WW2 and stayed in those countries. We invaded Kosovo with help from Nato and are still f***ing there. If you read the link, the second one, the similarities to Iraq are pretty clear.
We're waiting for them to be able to take over....Sound familiar?

Almost forgot.....Can't leave out civilian deaths:

How many have died or been maimed? Please answer the question.
I didn't know Kosovo had WMD, and that we had to act or a risk a mushroom cloud.
When you speak of Somalia from now on, I expect you to blame GHW Bush for sending our troops there. |

The answer is in the link. Around 20.
To a guy like me who's in the military you don't base victory off of deaths. Kosovo and soon Iraq, are pointless.

We went to stop Milosevic from killing Serbian Muslims. Once we removed him, the Muslims started to shoot at us. We've been there since. For what? To be shot at by people we were sent to help?
It's a NATO quagmire. We need to leave.

This General used to fix his own car.
Did he fix the ambulances Edwards chased after? |

It's in there.
Come on, where's the complaints of the thousands of civilians dead?
Wait, a democrat started the war so it's all good. |

I can argue against such a ticket.
Wes Clark is really out of the running for a 2008 bid for the simple fact that he has been completely off the radar since 2004. If he had spent this time allowing his voice to be heard and forming positions on social and economic issues, then that combined with his most impressive military experience would have made him a front runner in 2008.
However, for the democrats in the upcoming presidential cycle, it all comes down to just two candidates: John Edwards and Joe Biden.
Biden will sweep the primaries and easily win the general (no matter who the republican is) if Iraq is still an issue. If Iraq is no longer a majot issue and the country is focused more on economic recovery, health care and other social issues, then Edwards wins the nomination.
I don't see that any other democrat really has a shot at the nomination. |

any ticket with Edwards is a doomed campaign.
Clark will never get the DEM top slot on the ticket...
Not as long as Gore, Kerry, Clinton etc.. are still breathing.
the Republicans won't have to do anything about Clark, the DEMS will shoot him first. |

That's a rather baseless statement; do you have any ability to back it up? |

You really should communicate that point to your fellow right wing hacks - if I had a nickel for every republican that predicated the value and justification of the war in Iraq with the "relatively" (their word - not mine) low mortality rates of our soldiers - I could quit my job. |

Ability or opinion ?
A VP who didn't make it in a previous campaign will add nothing to a ticket.
He didn't even deliver NC for Kerry..
thats not an opinion ....
A VP is supposed to deliver there own State , if they can't do that then they are a waste if time.
Like they said in NC at the time
'We don't care where he goes as long as he leaves here".... |

Now It's official...You can't read.
I'm not a Republican. Read my title.
I swear allegience to no one.

Considering that over 500,000 soldiers have fought in Iraq and only 3000 have been killed, it's a pretty good rate logistically. Realistically it s*cks because it's a loss of life no matter how you cut it. |

A republican, with all the right wing attributes trying to call himself an independent - is still a republican. Thats like you calling Michael Moore a democrat when he swears up and down that hes an indie.
I suppose that because I called you a republican - I am a damn nerd? How old are you anyways? |

Try again.
I'm not a Republican....Never have been, never will be.
I hate political parties with a passion, and people like you, from both parties, are the reason why. Tell me, how's the kool-aid?
I'm an anarcho-capitalist. I hate government. Any government.

He's not a democrat.

You're a nerd.
You live in a world of black and white where people in the grey don't exist. Since my area isn't in your self-made world, you convenietly place me where you think I belong, even if it's nowhere near the reality.
