Seriously, I think Wesley Clark is the next Eisenhower.
What do you think? Tell me what's wrong with this ticket. I would use my vacation to help campaign for this ticket. |

Edwards is an opportunist and extremely shady lawyer. I wouldn't trust him farther than I could pee.
Clark is an insider, no one knows what his priorities are other than his talking points.....
I wouldn't vote for either of them. |

| I like Edwards and his stance on domestic issues, but I just don't know enough about Clark. He seems too uptight or something...too stiff. I would have to warm up to him. |

In July 1962, at age 17, Clark entered the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, New York, beginning his 38 years in the U.S. military.
Clark graduated from West Point as valedictorian in June 1966, at the age of 21. |

This General used to fix his own car. |

He is a Rhodes Scholar; he's considered to be a speaker and writer of great ability.
He won the 2004 primary in Oklahoma, and came in second in four other ones.
He is from the south and he is a retired General, which is appealing to centrist and traditionally-Republican voters which a Democrat would need to win the White House. |

Edwards has admitted that his vote on the Iraq war was a mistake.

The Right Way in Iraq
By John Edwards
Sunday, November 13, 2005; Page B07
I was wrong.
Almost three years ago we went into Iraq to remove what we were told -- and what many of us believed and argued -- was a threat to America. But in fact we now know that Iraq did not have weapons of mass destruction when our forces invaded Iraq in 2003. The intelligence was deeply flawed and, in some cases, manipulated to fit a political agenda.
It was a mistake to vote for this war in 2002. I take responsibility for that mistake. It has been hard to say these words because those who didn't make a mistake -- the men and women of our armed forces and their families -- have performed heroically and paid a dear price.

Clark would not be a good candidate. His performance in 2004 was at best, poor. While he may have some knowledge in military policy, he did not have a good grasp on the others issues. When he spoke, he looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Lets not forget that Bill Clinton fired him and that was not any easy feat. Clinton ran a pretty laid back Administration.
Edwards brings absolutely nothing to the ticket. He is perceived as a Southern centrist. Well, he is from the South, but the GOP did better in the South with him on the ticket. As for him being a centrist, his voting record indicated otherwise. |

I'm really glad people still remember Wes Clark and Edwards.
I had the pleasure of meeting Wes Clark at a fund raising party, and he's a very down to earth man. He stood up on a stool, talked to us and answered questions, it was all very different than any kind of campaigning I've seen before. He's been in war zones and he knows what has to be done and how to get them done right. I really believe him when he says he wouldn't have let Osama get away in Tora Bora.
I really hope he wasn't discouraged by the elections in '04, and he better start getting his name out there if he wants to win! |

| Yup, Clark promised we would be out of Bosnia in six months as NATO Supreme Commander and we are still there a decade later. It must be a quagmire or something. 8:) |

Valedictorian at West Point, a Rhodes scholar, a 4 star-general, 38 years of military service and you think he's some putz, like Rumsfeld or Bush?
Tell me why do you hate veterans, so much? |

Yes, that was a gigantic mistake. It's all over the news. Thousands of troops lost, billions of dollars spent, a hundred thousand civilians killed.....oh wait....that's Iraq.
I like Clark and Edwards. But I wish Colin Powell would run. I would love to see a Powell/Clark ticket, or a Clark Obama ticket.
I really don't think Hillary can pull it off, nor do I really want her to. We need clear headed centrists like Powell and Clark and Obama.
I really wish we could do 1780's style, and go with Clark/McCain. What a dream team. |

I would love to see that pair in 08.
