You're right, even some of the far left doesn't agree with cutting and running. |

| If he gets it, then the GOP has a shot at rebuilding. If she supports him and he doesn't get it, she is just placating her radical left base. Murtha was the one who persuaded Clinton to redeploy out of Somalia. That retreat and surrender inspired Bin Laden to go on the offensive against American assets. He released a fatwa to his Arab followers stating that. 8:) |

All it means is the left knows she can't lead. Her ideology has compromised her credibility and I'm sure the Democrats think Murtha still has some credibility left. |

Yeah well, so what. We've seen the results of GOP leadership. Scandals, corruption, not giving a damn about what the people think.
So the people kicked them out. Even Bush is now willing to discuss something other than the failed stay the course.
At least Murtha has a plan. We've seen the results of the Bush "plan". |

Yeah, and it's leaving democracy advocates in the ME holding the bag while we skedaddle, again.
Some plan. |

In that case, those democrasy advocates need to get up off their ass, and take some personal responsibility.
We've given them 1.2 trillion and counting, four years...and it's not working. So now it's up to them. :P |

Murtha sounds like a damn good choice to me.
Cant think of anyone in the house with any seniority who has shown more courage, conviction and good old fashioned common sense the Murtha.
Of course the right hates him, being that he is a 35 year vet and a strong supporter of the military who is not afraid to criticize the Iraq war as one stupid mistake after another thats only natural.
But who cares what the republicans think about it ? If the Republicans had what they wanted Tom DeLay of all people would be the majority leader. |

How long did the American Revolutionary war take?
Eight years. And democracy in the ME is an uphill battle that dwarfs the scope of the birth of democracy.
Think of how world history would have turned out if we would have gave up after four measly years back then. |

It's the world's fight. Too bad so much of the world is much too cowardly to face tyranny head on, which is the only way to deal with it. |
