Typical Christian reaction. You haven't even looked at the video or the facts supporting the evidence.
I agree the speakers in the documentary come across as quite dry, however the material is overwhelming and informative.
Take the time and watch the video and you will be quite amazed at how simple religous dogma is ripped apart.
Again, watch the video before you open your mouth please. Try and fight your Christian brainwashed initial response of stick your fingers in your ears and screaming at the messenger. Use the brain God gave you and watch the video so you can have an informed opinion, rather than a typical gutterol response of fight or flight.
God gave me a brain not to wash some heretic hogwash like this. The last people I know of who worshipped the sun were the people of the city of Sheba, in modern-day Yemen. The Queen of Sheba and her people were worshippers of the sun, until King Solomon came to her and invited her to the true worship of God.
Other than that, I agree with John: the text provided by the authors in the video can be interpreted and taken in many historical contexts.
And by the way, I'm not a Christian, but a Muslim.
Solomon is talked about in the documentary as well...interesting you brought him up.
Solomon is just an allegory for the sun as well. It is the sun in three different laguages. Sol - Om - On....Watch the documentary, it's fascinating to see how all this dogma is so easily explained. Another one was the book of Genisis. The Egyptians had a book of Gen of Isis. I forget what Gen was, but Isis is obviously the the goddess Isis. The Hebrews copied alot of what they saw while being enslaved to the Egyptians for hundreds of years...believe or not!
if Solomon is an allegory then who's the second king in the house of David? :-| |

That's what I was thinking too. You know the REAL difference between Jesus and all this other stuff that is being thrown around?
Jesus really happened. |

well it's weird.......focusing on the sybols as if they really mattered......the theology matters, and that has little to do with Horus or Vishnu. |

What I got out of learning all this years ago...was evidence that the message that a redeemer was part of God's plan existed since the beginning. That the message was there...but was corrupted by sin through out the ages. I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some sort of remnant belief still floating around among all the nations of what Adam taught his children. Same reason why just about every culture has a flood story.
We can read about all these similar mythical stories that these cultures had…and then something historical happens in real life. These stories don’t just nullify the actual historical event. What is really trying to be said here is that the events of Jesus are really just made up myths too…but anyone who does any real research will see that the evidence doesn’t point in that direction when you look at the effects of this event. You won’t find any credible historians that will say that Jesus is just a myth. |

Romans 1 and 2 back what you're saying.......also when I was studying Chinese civ in college I picked up on a lot of common themes in ancient Chinese religion(the fall, the need for redemption, restoring the balance, seperation from God, etc) |

Yep! I've read about that too. Their script and the meaning behind a lot of their picture words still carry that message too doesn't it?

For once, we agree.
You're absolutely correct, Saracen. Sun worship has nothing to do Y'shua.
This is the pagan syncretism I mentioned before that has invaded Christianity. |

As an interesting side note to this - completely unrelated to sun worship - what you call "Sheba" is actually ambiguous in Hebrew since vowels are ambiguous in that language, and it can in fact also be rendered as "Saba"... There is much talk in archealogy about the "Sabeans", etc, who are (I believe) the same, identical people you are describing above.
At any rate, the interesting this is that what passes in Judaism as "Kaballah" is actually a corruption of the original phrase.. The Jews derive the name from the root "Kaba" but it was originally supposed to be "Saba".. and that this knowledge (Kaballah) came to the Jews via the Sabeans in Yemen.
The story about Queen Sheba meeting Solomon in the Bible is supposed to be an allegory describing how the Kaballah was introduced to the Jews/Israelites..
For what it's worth...
That is complete crap you made up while reading this thread. |
