I think I understand where Gibson was coming from w/ his remarks, although I don't believe he should have acted the way he did. He's been a part of Hollywood for decades, and as we all know, the Jews have a lot of hands in the media. I wouldn't be surprised if his sour feelings towards the Jews were exacerbated by fighting for movie roles and influence against his Jewish peers, who already had one step ahead of him because they were buddy-buddy w/ the Jews above. However, I do think his anti-Semitism likely came from his father.
