I want to play this game. Unfortunately, I have no computer that will run it nor the money to purchase said computer and purchase said game.

Also, said computer game would distract me from more important things like school, wife and building furniture.

So, let's talk about it until I can finally afford it and play while my wife is grad school!

Hopefully, by the time she's there I can pick the game up and the computer to play at cheap cheap cheap cheap prices.

So, if you play this game, tell me about it.

It's interesting. It has some unique gameplay, which is always cool.

I prefer Company of Heroes though.

I got the demo, and it is a pretty good game. It has plenty of two armies beating the s**t out of eachother, but it also has an econoicgrowth and development side. You need to have a good economy to buy troops to kill stuff.

It is a good game, but I prefer RTSs set from 1940 onward.

i have the game. it's strong points aren't in the campaigns like the other games though(i beat them all in a day). it's mainly a multiplayer game(no more zone.com. they have their own servers like b.net).

it seems lame at first because resource collecting is so much different from the other games. it's much slower to get started and it relies heavily on economic upgrades and home shipments. but the upside is that the only resources you need to worry about are wood, because mills and plantations supply you with all the food and gold you need.

The whole "Home City" concept sounds cool until you're ready to turn your "colony" into a "nation"...

...do you think they'll toss in a mod or an add-on for that?

age of empires 3: the war cheifs might have it, but the game is mostly centered around colonial life. i think if they do something like that then it'll be like an outpost receiving supplies from it's own country. there's a few campaigns like that, where you're america and you recieve supplies from another part of the country(post independence)

Pfft. All RTSes are mainly for multiplayer anyway. I am serious when I tell you that you have not even scratched the surface of an RTS until you play online.

The whole "Home city" concept is a cool thing.

I downloaded the demo and it said my computer was too outdated to play the game... or something.

It still worked though.
