Has the US been duped into accepting the ten planks to the Communist manifesto?
Karl Marx's "10 Planks" to seize power and destroy freedom:
1.Abolition of Property in Land and Application of all Rents of Land to Public Purpose.
2. A Heavy Progressive or Graduated Income Tax.
3.Abolition of All Rights of Inheritance.
4.Confiscation of the Property of All Emigrants and Rebels.
5.Centralization of Credit in the Hands of the State, by Means of a National Bank with State Capital and an Exclusive Monopoly.
6.Centralization of the Means of Communication and Transport in the Hands of the State.
7. Extension of Factories and Instruments of Production Owned by the State, the Bringing Into Cultivation of Waste Lands, and the Improvement of the Soil Generally in Accordance with a Common Plan.
8.Equal Liability of All to Labor. Establishment of Industrial Armies, Especially for Agriculture.
9.Combination of Agriculture with Manufacturing Industries; Gradual Abolition of the Distinction Between Town and Country by a More Equable Distribution of the Population over the Country.
10. Free Education for All Children in Public Schools. Abolition of Children's Factory Labor in it's Present Form. Combination of Education with Industrial Production. |

I agree w/ this..
The US lost the Cold War.. totally and utterly.
How many planks of the Communist Manifesto have we adopted in the course of "fighting" the Cold War? All Ten. How many rights in the Bill of Rights have the Russians or Chinese adopted? None. Not even one.
The US lost the Cold War. |

I can see how it would be an important plank in getting people to be dependant upon the government and accept the philosophies of the state. Do you think that kids today are receiving a better education than they did before the establishment of public education? It seems to have an assembly line style to it all if you ask me. Why do home schooled kids and ones that go to private schools score better when their academic skills are tested?
Kids today are being trained to be part of a hive....dependant upon the government. No one is really taught how to be self sufficient...they are taught how to be a cog in the machine.
That why you hear these poor kids worrying about such things as SAT tests that “determines their fate”. |

Yep. The war was one of ideology...and we have accepted theirs. And they have rejected ours.
We should have seen that coming when dealing with master chess players. The best victory is when the conquered do not realize they have been had. You wait until you have your check mate secure. Then it’s too late. |

You are seriously stupid. Before public education, the vast majority of kids got no education, period. |

Yeah, kids like Ben Franklin, who never had more than a 3rd-grade education..
He was a real loser, wasn't he? Didn't know anything, did he? Never amounted to anything, did he?
And don't even get me started on Abraham Lincoln's "education".. or Thomas Edison, etc..
Fact is, you can get really far w/o formal schooling.
And the other thing is, if you homeschooled your kids, you'd have to TRY to do a worse job than the public schools do. Honestly, these (public schools) are some of the worst institutions ever devised by man. |

Just wanted to bring up what exactly is mentioned in the part discussing what is called plank 10 a little further on in the Manifesto...
Communist Manifesto wrote: Abolition of the family! Even the most radical flare up at this infamous proposal of the Communists.
On what foundation is the present family, the bourgeois family, based? On capital, on private gain. In its completely developed form, this family exists only among the bourgeoisie. But this state of things finds its complement in the practical absence of the family among proletarians, and in public prostitution.
The bourgeois family will vanish as a matter of course when its complement vanishes, and both will vanish with the vanishing of capital.
Do you charge us with wanting to stop the exploitation of children by their parents? To this crime we plead guilty.
But, you say, we destroy the most hallowed of relations, when we replace home education by social.
I can't say that I've seen this happen in the United States yet.... |

Is it me or are you just getting stupider
Ben Franklin - school education from 8 - 10
Lincoln - studied to become a lawyer
Edison's mother was a school teacher |

Reported MG.
Elementary school through High School is such a breeze. I get to a college level and things just get a whole lot harder. Makes me wonder whats the purpose to even going through public school if it does nothing to help you for college. |

Personal insults are against forum rules. And yours are poorly placed when you use English in that fashion. |
