maybe on the old ones, but the new ones if you dont answer a question, no points are taken off or added.

The way it works is this:

If you answer a question correctly you get 1 point.

If you answer a question incorrectly you lose 1/4th of a point.

If you don't answer a question you don't receive any credit.

Lets say you don't answer 4 questions. You will receive 0 points.
If you answer all 4 and get ONE of them right you will get 1 point minus the 3(1/4th) points from missing the other 3 questions therefore receiving .25 points.

So if you answer 4 questions and get one of them right you end up ahead of not answering them.
Yeah. Since there are five possible choices if you guess randomly on five questions without reading them or anything, you're likely to come out with a zero. I was told to answer every question I read, and only leave blank the ones I hadn't read, since apparently if you read it there's a chance you know it in the back of your mind so instead of having a .2 chance of gettting it right you have a .21 chance of getting it right. I've never thought that was really worth it but I did it anyway.
I guess it's too late now though. Good luck.

You can't really give any next-day advice because the only way to do well on the SAT is to either: a) be very standardized test smart, b.) take a SAT course and learn how to do well on it.

Can't help ya. We don't have easily bombable - one time tests that determine the rest of our lives in Canada. If you want help with your slap s**t then I'm your man.

Yes. Remember that (1) you're a smart kid and (2) it's only a test. And honestly not that big a deal (unless, of course, you aspire to be a "phenom"). I took mine just once and only an hour after my return from my senior prom, and I did okay.

Doubtless, you'll do much better than I did if you aren't taking the test under similar circumstances.

Break a leg, kid, and report back. You'll do great, I promise.

Why not?

I had a 32 and was accepted outright to every college I applied to.
