Area 51

Help me out - whats the conspiracy at Roswell?
That the government has evidence of extra terrestrial life.

As for Area 51, the government denies it although it is very obviously there.

So, you believe the government has evidence of E.T.?

And you make fun of conspiracy theorists?

Unflippingbelievable.

strawman argument.

He's clearly not saying there's evidence of E.T., but rather, that area 51 exists for whatever purpose.

Nice try to ridicule your opponent though.

I made the quote in bold that is relevant.

He CLEARLY states the government does have evidence of ET.

Nice try to deny what was said though.

Norrin can't hold his own when it comes to the facts and what really happened, so he has to resort to cheap insults. Doesn't bother me. I have to actually care about what a person thinks before anything they say can bother me.

If Norrin wishes to think we are all alone in this universe that is his right. I personally think the government has probably already discovered we are not alone. I don't think they've made contact, nor do I think they have alien remains hidden away somewhere. Does this make me a lunatic? Nope. Just someone with their own opinion.

Unlike Norrin and many of the other conspiracy theorists on this board, I don't believe what I believe despite huge amounts of evidence to the contrary, nor do I believe it is part of some huge plot by mysterious secret organizations to take over the world. If someone out there had proof that the government doesn't have evidence of extra terrestrial life, I would certainly look at it and if it were valid I would change my mind. This is in direct contrast to Norrin and other's inability of letting go of any aspect of the 9/11 conspiracy theory. It is as though by admitting one part is wrong, people would realize the whole theory is nothing but a scam and a sham.

Man, I thought you would have "gotten me" by now.

I believe intelligent life on other planets is "likely", only closed minded people say it is impossible.

It is all about numbers and probability. Considering the number of planets and the number of galaxies, as well as the number of planets we have discovered in other solar systems, I would be shocked if there was no other intelligent life in the universe.

Anyways, I was not making fun of you for believing in E.T., I was making a point. Many closed minded people would make fun of you for believing in E.T., but I was using it as an example. Ya know, like how you make fun of people, repeatedly, in many of your posts for beleiving things which might seem impossible, or highly unlikely. To many people, intelligent alien life is highly unlikely.

You belive it is impossible to have a major conspiracy if a large number of people have to be involved, or even have to keep their mouths shut, but you fail to think about how many people were invovled in one of the worst things our government ever did and that was testing on our soldiers, vets and civilians. How many people were involved in all of thosse tests? How many?

If you tell people that something is essential for the welfare of your nation and your people, many of them will believe it and be willing to do horrible things because the nation depends on it.

The few who don't believe this need for security, will often keep their mouth shut for several reasons. Fear of losing their career, fear of harm to themselves, or their family. There is also fear of being ridiculed, loss of friends and status.

I do my share of ridiculing around here, so I know I am guilty as well, but maybe we could call a truce and stop.

Going back to E.T., I have done a tiny bit of reading on the subject. Mostly I have looked for UFO sightings and quotes by well credentialed people. Goldwater, numerous astronauts and airforce personnel from all over the world have had UFO experiences.

I can't say I am 100% convinced we have been visited by ET's, but it is getting harder and harder not to believe. How many accounts can be dismissed as swamp gas, or a weather baloon? Something is going on, I just wish we had some physical evidence.

If the government is supressing evidence of intelligent, alien life, then this is possibly the biggest conspiracy of all time since "proof" of Intelligent life would be the biggest discovery of all time, at least for this planet's history.

So, what you are telling me is, that you believe the US government is involved in supressing evidence for the greatest discovery of all time, is this corect?????????

The biggest problem the UFO community suffer from is the sheer numbers of crazies that populate the landscape.

Another problem is the sheer statisics to wade through. Of a 1000 sightings you would be struggling to find maybe 1 good one.

I agree with you - I think aliens (Or whatever they are) Have popped in for a visit. But I would argue there are less than 10 high quality sightings in the last 60 years. Personally I would say 4 all up could be almost certainly UFOs
