| Why do people believe in something that has no proof. I think it is because it is easy. It is easier to believe what is popular, than not believe in it. |

Depending how you mean it, I assume your talking about this in a religious context, right?
I think you've contradicted yourself there, belief does not have anything to do with evidence, it is faith in something without tangible evidence.
Although I agree that anyone who follows something because it is just popular is foolish, but many that follow religion do so because of deep moral beliefs not because it is easy.
If yo think about it, I think its harder as your faith will constantly be tested by your life and experiences. |

Almost everyone I have ever talked to that believes in something which cannot be objectively proven, never-the-less bases that belief on some sort of direct experience.
When asked why a Christian believes in Christ, they may tell you that they have directly experienced an interaction with the Holy Spirit that for them, proves their faith is valid.
I am no Christian, but who am I or you to deny that experience? |

All beliefs have the same quality of faith as does religion. The focus is different and the form is the same. Just as impossible is a degree of difficulty, so our beliefs all fall on a continuum of difficulty from acceptable to impossible; but faith in fellow man or in the coming of tomorrow is never certain, but only less uncertain. |
