Yes. If I had a kid and the kid was supposed to be in school but was not, I would be hopping mad if the school didn't call to inform me of my kids absence. And there would be hell to pay for the kid, as I donot appreciate being lied to. :evil:

Well, among 9th grade inner city girls (like the ones I taught for 5 yrs), it often does.
