Not the point, illegal or not, war or no war they cause burning to the flesh and should be outlawed like other chemical weapons. |

Read his post again. Just because he villified Israel doesn't mean he's a Jew-hater.

Quite possible... however, bunny's first subject matter posts:
- Israel still killing children
- Israel admits to using chemical weapons in Lebanon
- Israel = New Weapons?
Certainly wouldn't be very well received in the ME forum if "Israel" were replaced with "Muslim" would it?
Saracen wrote: Most Arabs are actually not anti-Semitic, but use the phrase "Yahudi" to mean "Zionist", not "Jew", which is its literal meaning. Quite right and thank you for that correction. :tu: |

I am a vet and I have seen willie pete work very well where other weapons will not get the enemy out of a particular spot. I have no problem with them and I understand they are "considered" by some to be a chemical weapon, but in war your object is to destroy your enemy and not play political correctness.
So what...bullets cause holes in bodies and they are not illegal in war fare. |

At least with shells, the effects would (usually) be less unpleasent. As with phosphorus the burning would have far worse effects than what a bullet or shell could do. Mind you I have to admit that's quite subjective and like been given the choice of a severed limb(s) or burnt flesh. |

I am going to say it this way. Bullets going into a body make abig mess and many times a person will die from blood loss but in war the very idea is to stop or kill your enemy.
WP is an effective weapon and it caterizes the wound and in the essence of war if you use WP there is what is called in military parlance....crispy critters and the enemy is done. I have not one problem in war using what ever is needed to eliminate the enemy.
Many will say that is crass or rude but in war it is never pleasant nor nice. |

When we've learned to stop fighting each other.
Laser rifles, same thing - would cook flesh. |

It is human nature to kill each other, for what ever reason that is needed at the time. Mankind is not going to (anytime soon) evolve into something where we stop killing each other....that is a fact.
Laers are okay for combat in my opinion just as much as WP. Problem with lasers is that you still gotta have something to weed and force your enemy out into the open in warfare. And WP seems to fill the bill in my book. |
