I don't know if any of you chaps watch PM's Questions or not, but I do, and I just wondered who your favourite 'players' were? Cameron seems to be holding his own against Blair I have to say. I never really took much notice of Duncan-Smith, but I hear Hague was very good at the dispatch box.

To give Blair his credit he gives a good performance, but it's usually full of spin and I have noticed that there doesn't seem to be much wit in his replies of late.

I always thought Hague was a very good speaker - still is, in fact. Thatch was excellent and Major had his moments (to John Smith and Gordon Brown: "The most imfamous Scotsmen to come out of Scotland since Burke and Hare".)

The problem with Hague is that I don't think he came across as well outside of parliamentary circles.

I think the problem with Hague were some spectacularly ill-judged PR stunts:

And of course THAT speech

I think he was always looked upon as 'Tory Boy'. Now that I think about it there was a Harry Enfield character called Tory Boy.

Indeed - Enfield said he based TB (those initials look familiar) on young Master Hague
