Gun control wise, how is the election looking in your state?

Colorado looks screwed right now, the F rated Democrat is ahead in the polls.

I have the choice between an F-rated Democrat or an F-rated Republican, and a few Independents who I can't seem to agree with on anything. There's a B- guy running for the House though at least.

Both candidates running for senate are pro-gun. Typical for our state. I actually liked the democrat's answer on his position on gun control. He stated we damn well better have our guns if our government is going to pass a bill like the patriot act.

On the same note I'm pretty sure our 3-term republican senator is going to be ousted by his challenger. Very unusual as our state is pretty red.

Tennessee is not faring well either. Our anti-gun governor is well ahead of his unknown challenger. A anti-gun democrat has a small lead in the polls for our open senate seat. My state level respresentative who is anti-gun, will have dead people voting for him again (He has held the seat for over 20 years with accusations of all kinds of voter fraud). And the mayor of Knoxville has just signed onto the Mayor of NYC's anti-gun mayoral group. I think I am going to move out west if this doesn't improve.

Idaho is looking pretty good right now. Our candidates that are running for re-election are pro gun ownership on both sides of the aisle on federal level.

State wise in the house a few battles coming but still looking good. A couple of distructs that are questioning but will not know yet.

Gov. election is really good. Strong guy and very gon ownership and rights.

Voter wise....real strong on gun ownership.

Could all change in a flipping heartbeat though.

Bill Ritter, the F rated Democratic Governor, wants to pass a state AWB.

Menendez (D) is leading Kean (R)... Menendez is rated F, Kean is a ? since he's got little record on 2nd Amendment issues. However, NJ is simply chock-full of anti-2nd Amendment politicians, however, it runs down party lines. All Democrats in NJ are anti-Gun, I'd say about 60% of Republicans are pro-Gun. But I'm in a through and through Blue state, so don't wait on me guys... go on ahead... I'll catch up after I'm dead.

I Love it 6 months of the year... :) The other 6 are sporatic, like a good snowfall so I can break out the snowmobiles.

NH has little to offer as far as climate, but as far as rights, and TAXES and GUN OWNERSHIP it is one of the best states in the Union.

NO sales tax, NO estate tax, NO income tax. No special permit to purchase, no waiting period... etc.

Property taxes are varied, but it keeps the balance.

I'm not an expert but from what I understand you can't buy guns made of cheap material, in other words only rich people can have guns. Yet there is a gun murder almost every other day..... We can't have fireworks either.

That will be nice, especialy after I come from Texas(8.25 Sales Tax, Sounds low, but adds up)

Guns bought LEGALLY are as little as $100 for something decent that will deter a criminal. We had a gun show here in Manchester last week where I bought a Taurus .38 UL revolver brand new for $350, but there were guns there for as little as $99.

it is all a matter of priority... some people would rather spend $100 on video games

Numb there are a wide selection of guns that fit just about any budget. Do a little shopping around and even if you find one on line have a gun dealer in your area get it for you at the proce in the other store. Many times all that you pay extra is a shipping charge.

Go first to a local gun range and try out a few pistols and see what fits your hands. That is very important to think about before you up and plunk down the cash.

Hey, I said I wasn't an expert. I just read somewhere that Massachusetts tried or is trying to pass a law that states that guns bought in state are going to be rather expensive. Not 100% sure.

I will be moving to New Hampshire in the spring. I'll have a Master's Degree in Public Policy by then.

I'll be visiting there for 2007 Liberty Forum Dinner. John Stossel is giving the Keynote speech. You should go. It will be awesome with a lot of Free State Project members there.
