|
|
| My University has set up an agreement with Ruckus (a napster like programme) to provide access to legal music downloads. I've been using it, and would like to transfer some of the songs to MP3 format, in order to transfer them onto my cell phone, which is also a Ipod type thingie. Anyone give me advice on how to do this? Currently the files are in Windows Media Audio Track Format? |

| They are placed in WMA to prevent you from turing them into MP3 to prevent you from sharing with people who are not licensed. |

| I assumed as much; but I am not trying to share them with friends. I am trying to listen to them on my cellphone... does that mean I can't convert them? That I shouldn't convert them; or just a tid bit of friendly information? |

I believe there are illegal ways to strip the things but I can't provide said ways. You could pay a dollar and download the mp3. |

Sorry, circumventing copyright protection measures is illegal.
Thank the legislators for passing the DMCA if you can't use your music on your cell phone. |
