I stumbled upon this recently on the internet. Its a shame that most people havn't heard about this (myself included untill just recently). I apologize if this belongs in another forum or something, but I am quite new to this site.

I was just suprised that an event in the 20th century in our country that resulted in the deaths of an estimated 300 people recieves as little (if any)attention in the history books as it does. I didn't expect many people to had heard of it it but am curious to see how many people here had. |

| The only reason ive heard of it is because i live there. Even when i was in highschool though i can only recall talking about it a few times in class. Something like that should not be forgotten. |
