| happened to my computer, i usually put my computer to sleep but i turned it off because i used it somewhere else. anways, when i turned it on it was totally effed up. my background wasn't there anymore. all of my files were gone. all my pictures, papers, music. most of my programs are still here, but when i open them it is like opening them for the first time. what the eff is going on here people? |

| i tried to download some audio recording programs. but i restarted my computer and it returned back to normal. i think it may have started in safe mode or something for some reason? |

| You need to log on to your personal account. XP/2000 have different subdirectories such as "desktop" and "my documents" for each user. Go to "shut down," choose "log off X" X being whatever you're currently logged into, and choose whatever user you normally log onto (may be administrator or your name). |
