This ones more for you guys who view the bible as the direct word of God...
If the Bible is the literal translation of Gods word, and I mean word for word "This is what was written" kinda thinking, where is sin defined?
I can't really remember the section where Moses receives the Ten Commandments but in this are there expantions to the literal translation?
For example...
"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbours wife"... is this left as literally it is a sin to covet the spouse of my neighbour, or is it expanded to show that this relates past this, that I should not covet the girlfriend of my friend from another town?
I guess I'm asking where all these other Sins past the Ten (and eleventh) commandment come from? There's alot of area not covered by the most famous sections.
(Man I'm fairly weak at wording these questions as I intend...) |
