Does anyone know of a way to view the images on your PC monitor with at the same time this displaying on your TV screen?

I've been knocked myself out trying to figure out a way of doing this. It should be simplicity itself - but damned if I can make it work.

First up I downloaded Ultramon - which is a great piece of software for doing this sort of thing. But damned if I can get it to show a mirror image with my PC monitor and the TV screen.

My OS is Windows XP Home Edition - 32-bit colour max - resolution 1024 x 768 pixels.

You need a graphics card that has an S-Video out port.

Then you'll need an S-Video to RCA output cable and hook it up to your TV like a console. (assuming you're using a standard TV)

Then set up the dual monitor support in your settings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HDTV's and other flat panels have VGA ports, so you need a graphics card with dual VGA ports and an extra VGA cable and hook it up just like a monitor and adjust the settings for dual monitor support.

Note before you waste your money on anything that standard TV's look like absolute crap even just surfing the web, they simply do not have the resolutions of computer monitors....forget gaming.

(Throws chalk at slow-learner lurking furtively at back of class) - Oh DO try to keep up with the rest of us, FCTE... !! - I did all of that ages ago. Everything is setup - s-video connections - the lot.

And yes, I can get a beautiful (moving) picture on my TV screen piped over from my CPU through the s-video cable -- but! - I can't get a mirror-image to display on both the PC monitor and the TV screen at the same time...

Tsk... Dear O dear... the cross I have to bear when dealing with some of these mildly-retarded keyboard jockeys who are wont to leap to premature conclusions at the drop of a hat.

Or get one with a DVI port like I did.
