They are about as useful as the popes balls.
Glad to see your bring interesting arguments to the table.
Yes, about as usefull as that Island in the West of Europe, the 51st state.
The one with its own currency, own language and that modenised the rest of the world with the industrial revolution before saving France from NAZI ways?
Oooo...now we're justifying the French bashing with history? Let's go back to the US gaining it's independence...think hard now.
lol
American independence was only achieved because of France we all know this, what is your point?
That just as you can use one aspect of history to support your claim I can use it to support mine.

Don't be selective with your histroy. France also thought about coming to the aid of the South if they had won, without debate, the battle of Gettysburg. SO did England.
is your eyesight okay? because if you go back and read you'll discover it was not me who thru the first insult thanks very muchly.
btw i know all about the achievements and dominance of France post wwII.
I don't care who threw the first insult. You can't use one part of history just because it suits you better.
A little cocky are we? The fact that France didn't dominate at anything post WWII leads me to believe that you don't know as much as you say.
Domination = success? :? |

What point? The fact that the U.S. gaining very important, crucial, if not vital, assistance from the French in the Revolutionary War? |

Ok so Chirac ALWAYS opposes sanctions, (he says so himself) he ALWAYS opposes millitary action too (again he says so himself).
So whats left, ask them nicely too stop supporting terrorists and trying to get nuclear bombs?
If we are too follow Chiracs line of thought, we might as well ship the nukes to tehran ourselves and be done with it all. |

I believe, and I'll look for it, that awhile ago Chirac threatened nuclear retaliation against terrorist actions. I'll get a link when I find it.
Found it!

From the link:
Quote: Unprecedented threat: French President Chirac threatens nuclear response to terror attack on French soil. German intelligence: Iran 3-4 years away from acquiring nuclear bomb
So, not only is Chirac willing to do more about terrorism than Shrub, but looks like Shrub's inability to grasp standard diplomacy has Iran with nukes by 2010. Good job! |

Iran had feared Russia would delay the launch because of international tension over Iran's nuclear activities, correspondents say.
Didn't Clinton give Kimmy J Dawg teh Illest a nuclear reactor? Look what that idiot is doing with it.
Iran is practically swimming in oil, wtf do they need a nuclear reactor for? It's impractical, and the russians are stupid for making a deal with them. |

Nah, its just that we have earned that right because we have saved the world from tin-pot loons like Napolean and Hitler.
France? They think a victory is making a bunch of bored homesick English soldiers go back home with fingers smelling of Joan of Arc. |

| Wow. Watching the Brits and French bash on each other is a lot more entertaining that watching the Americans and French go at it. Although I guess these two have had additional centuries of practice. :sigh1: |

The English saved the world from Hitler?
Really?
Where would England be without the Americans saving their ass in 1942?
Churchill spent 2 years begging Roosevelt to enter the war and had the Japanese not attacked Pearl Harbour in Dec 1941, you'd probably be speaking German right now.
Furthermore, the Russians bore the brunt of casualties fighting the Germans so you can thank them too. |
