registry pretty touchy area....many "registry" scanners can't do much to fix an existing problem....do you have a restore point to go back to??
I use CCleaner....with caution, for some stuff |

I wouldn't use any "free" products on a registry. Buy something professional. Be sure to back it up every month or so, so you can go back if one gets corrupted. |

Norton Utilities is nice and has a one button total system scan which includes a registry fixer, it always kept XP running smooth for me, but it is a rather hefty piece of software as far as resources are concerned.
Whenever I FUBAR'd my registry I just nuked the drive and did a fresh install. Sometimes I'd mess with it just enough to break something to give myself an excuse to do a fresh install. I'm a fresh format and install junkie attributed to my obsessive compulsive nature. |

| Ccleaner is good, though usually if you are having registry "problems" the easiest way to fix it is just to reinstall. |
