| Soldier abuse = bad, 'nuff said. And that's not abuse at all, that's just torture  |

How can you ask a soldier why he is dehydrated? I mean when you are f'n dehydrated you're dehydrated! This is ridiculous. I mean listen to how slow the soldier is talking! Slirred and slow speech is one of the first signs of dehydration and yet they tell him they see through his dramatic crap. Why would you need to train someone that is going to fight for you like that?
Looks more like a soldier in training trying to get out of training than abuse. If you've never been there it's hard to explain what it's like. There is quite a bit of mental endurance that soldiers must go through. I've seen worse and received worse, but never for mot drinking water when I should have been. |

| Thats typical treatment in training. They try to put you through as much stress as they think you can handle. If you can't handle someone in your face yelling at you , you can't handle bullet's flying by your head. |

To call Thaaaaaat Soldier abuse is absurd..........this was a trainee trying to get out of training.
IF, and I say IF because its NOT as some have claimed obvious the guy is dehydrated in the video, he was "dehydrated" its his own fault. In training one of the things they constantly tell trainees is too drink lots of water. And at every training spot theres always a supply of water for the soldiers. Even on road marchs and when out in the "field" they follow behind the column or units with trucks loaded with water so soldiers have a nice fresh supply of water and can refill their canteens. And they cart medics along as well, so they can make sure that a trainee can get proper medical treatment should they have a medical problem like dehydration.
Something I noticed that apparently makes no difference too those who hate Americas millittary, and use this video to "justify" that hate, is that this "soldier" flat out lied to his superior about what he'd told the medics. AFTER the rest of his unit was done training he told the medics he was feeling "better".
I guess lying is par for the course for them though so no biggy if a trainee lies to his drill right.
This guy is lucky he's serving today, and not 15 years ago. Fifteen years ago, things would have really been hard on him after lying to his superiors like that. |

so yeah.. a lil yelling isnt anything to get worked up about.
showing weakness is bad enough.. lying about it is inexcuseable.... what a puke |

JHC when I went into boot camp way back if you tried that crap you would get knocked on your ass. People went into the military and they took a raw civilian and made it into something that was useable. You learned that you better be tough and you were when you got out.
No one carried a time out card and asked to be allowed to take a break because it was stressful. This clown is trying to get out of training. The candy ass should have had his ass drug around in the mud by a DI.
The DI's I remember were the meanest and toughest bunch of men you'd ever want to meet. WTF is wrong with the military now a days? |

| The father of one of my sister's friends enlisted in the early 60s in the USMC. He said that the guide's job i was to ensure their platoon didn't screw up during boot camp. The first time something went wrong, the DI called the guide over, had him lift his trouser leg, and then took off much of the flesh on the side of his leg with his boot; whenever there was another screw up, he'd do itall over again on the same spot. He also said that they used to bury them in the sand with only the heads up so that they couldn't swat the sand fleas, which were in abundance on Perris Island. I've gone through basic military training, and really they can't do much to you; they did do stuff to my unit, including hitting us with sticks n' stuff, although nothing too bad, but they got caught and the entire cadre were fired and punished, although this was also in part for being drunk on the job. I've been almost to the point of blacking out due to dehydration/heat exhaustion during training (it was really my fault for not drinking enough water), but it's nothing you can't overcome with determination, much of which comes from not wanting to fail your buddies. |

If this kid is suffering from dehydration then he either should be nailed or article 15 for damaging govt. property.
Either that or as so many have said he's a candy ass looking for an easy way out of something. |

You cannot bait me into personal attacks upon you. You lack of understanding about terms in the military has shown your obvious lack of intelligence there. So until you can get a handle upon what training in the military is all about ...perhaps you should bow out before you get your feeling hurt. :td: |

Furthermore, I was making an observation, on par with your constant interigations of people you suspecct to support muslims, terrorist, or political parties that you donot agree with...
anyways, it was a joke...
Jokes okay..... Kepp your observations to your self until you are ready to put them on the board and in the proper thread. |
