For those of you lucky enough to be in Carry states - are most CCW or are there still some Carry states that allow the weapons to be non-concealed? I stubled across a very nice small gun leather website and was very impressed.
Also with the resurgence of Western shooting competitions, a lot of the Western rigs were downright beautiful!
Anyone use this guy or willing to try him out?

Yes, I use the monarch shoulder holster for the following handguns. Since I am left handed I had alittle more trouble getting their gear. But I also like the softness of the leather and the adjustings features. Quite nice and I would recommend their products to any one.
Monarch for my Browning 9mm and 1911 .45 ACP
and I use the firepower rig for eh mossberg and .45ACP.
Excellent products. I tried a lot of other brands but dollar for dollar they are really great.
I also have the Arizona rig for the signle action revolvers that I have. I carry a ruger Blackhawk in it when I am in the mountains or fishing. |

| Outie because open carry is legal in KY without a license. I have a Uncle Mike's Sidekick at the moment. Cheap, effective, and it fits both my 1911 and my Witness. I'd like to get some custom leather later on, but most of the stuff is for CCW and rides too high for my tastes. |

When I first saw this thread, I thought you were asking about inside the waistband, or out....It brought back bad memories. I tried to carry a Colt Defender in an inside the waistband holster. I lasted about 10-minutes. That sucker hurt
We are not allowed to openly carry here, (it's considered "brandishing") - we must carry concealed. I have tried a lot of holsters and always felt like a I looked like a big guy carrying a gun under his shirt - that was until I found Galco. This is the rig which now holds my Para Ordinance 7.45 LDA: Galco
Glaco is expensive, but truly beautiful leather. I have to say though that after checking out Andrews, I'll be shopping there one day. Looks to be nice work. |

| I use a Bianche leather shoulder-holster for my Colt 1860 Army revolver; I wear it under a vest or jacket, or with a suit. California looks down on open carry, even if the weapon is not legally considered a firearm or weapon. CCW is hard to get around here, as we are not shall-issue. |

I got a good hunch that your restrictions are going to change here real soon. |

Clearly better.... I have a close relative that is on the gun lobby there in cali. and it is looking better for all law abiding people. Even ol' Feinstein is losing support in a big way. Just hang in there you'll all win in the end, :-D |

If ya hear anything about NJ ever... let me know. My damn state is so anti-gun we're already run by a cross between Maoists and the Soprano's. Only my district (24) and some of the southern NJ districts are semi-friendly to the 2nd Amendment. |

Do any of you use a Milt Sparks IWB holster for your concealed carry rigs? I carry a Springfield Champion as my carry rig, right now in a cheap Don Hume clip-in IWB. Its time to upgrade, the Sparks rigs look nice to me.
Thanks.

I have the Bianchi Agent X shoulder holster system for my Detective Special. The DS rides horizontally under my left arm, which conceals well and allows for a very fast draw from under a sport coat. I also have two speedloaders in a pouch under my right arm.
A great advantage to this system is that I can draw from a sitting position. Perfect for driving about as one can effectively deal with carjackers. |

I know that Mississippi and Virginia allow open carry. |

| Arizona, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Alaska also allow for unrestricted open carry, and Alaska and Vermont also unrestricted concealed carry, although in the former you can still get a permit for reciprocity reasons. |
