| Is anyone here familiar with the DD-WRT firmware for various routers? I have two wifi routers running DD-WRT and would like to set one as a repeater, but I am completely stumped as to how I am going to accomplish this. |

Normally, you need a "backbone" to connect all the access points to (all access points need to be connected to a wire). Wireless Distribution System (WDS) emulates the backbone wirelessly, letting the router, in essence, act as a signal repeater. There is an overhead, and the latency won't be optimal, but for most computing it should work fine.
If you don't understand something, ask and I'll help. |
