Hey anti-gun kooks. Wasn't there supposed to be an increase in assault rifles mowing down people. What happened? Was someone wrong?

Maybe someone needs to say they were wrong and say they were sorry for messing with the civil rights of gun owners for 10 years.

It's horrible. I have to battle my way to work every morning, two AKs in hand and an RPG on my back, fighting back the street thugs armed to the teeth with nast post-ban assault rifles.

Man, Brady and Clinton were right. We're seriously f****d.

Yes... fear mongering seems to not be limited to foreign policy nor the Republican. The amount of fear and loathing associated with the expiration of the AWB was far overblown and pure partisan tripe - and while I have no proof, most likely funded and supplied by the Soros camp and the IANSA (International Action Network on Small Arms) headed by the anti-gun **** Rebecca Peters and the Brady Campaign.

That the U.S. has moved to adopt more Castle Doctrine states and have many more pending - and have CCW popping up where prior any carrying was strictly forbidden/outlawed is proof to me that the AWB was pure cowpie politics.

Jeeez. These anti-gun nuts are so paranoid. They were sooooo sure that US streets would be awash with blood from all the assault weapons hitting the streets.

You mean, the ones sold on the black market that never LEFT the streets with the passing of AWB? The ones that will always be available, no matter what laws are passed?

It irks me to death when people refuse to accept the fact that criminals DO NOT OBEY LAWS..so making it illegal for them to carry a gun, will not stop them. If it did, they'd be a responsible gun owner, not a criminal. Duh!

The hill-billy neighbors have been assaulting us for almost two years, its like over night they already had the assault weapons. They had the look alikes for a while, but now they have these ones with muzzle brakes!!!!1111

*hears a bullet whistle by*

I need to go.

*shoots at looters*

I was on main street a day after the ban expired, and the sky filled with AK's.
I hired an artist to paint what I saw, this painting is good, but cannot explain the horror I witnessed.

There is a person that will swear up and down that those guns are not there. That person will also say that criminals are why there are guns as well.
I have a wonderful expression for those that want to make law abiding people into criminals.....[img]

The month following the AWB sunset, I went out and bought an AK and eventually put a folding stock on it. I was too young to understand the AWB when it was enacted, but now that I do, I at least want one just for the fact of having it. :)

Local laws vary though, I'm not allowed to own either a handgun or an assault weapon in the City of Chicago - even in my own home. Yes, you read that right.

If I put a shoulder stock/pistol grip combo on my shotgun, I'm in possession of an assault weapon. I doubt that under the most likely circumstances I would be caught with this gun (probably at a traffic stop if the cop asks me what's in the case in the backseat), but if I was I might be in for some explaining to do. I plan on upgrading the stock anyway, as it doesn't change the function of the gun at all, and in fact, makes it a little bit more comfortable, IMHO.
I had to register it too, " in case it gets stolen" according to the cops. Why do they need a picture of me in case it gets stolen?

I hear tell that Illinois is about ready to change their laws and join the rest of the nation to grant your rights to own, possess, and have RTC and CCW allowances.
That's what the local NRA is saying. :-D

Don't you also have to be blessed by the local authority figures to even purchase ammo or guns? Or did IL finally get rid of that foolish FOID system. Dude, you need to think about moving to a free state, leave that cesspool.

I do have a FOID card as well. Now it's linked to the DMV..although you still have to submit a picture which is a waste of money. It's $5 for like a 6 year card (I don't know, I just carry mine). You need the FOID to buy a gun or even ammunition. The State Police control that program. There's a one-day wait for long guns, and probably a longer one for handguns.

The local NRA is going to push for CCW? I find that IMPOSSIBLE to believe. Daley is always claiming his anti-gun policies will work. What he says, goes, and the governor follows like the little b**** he is. It'll never happen.

I'd move if it weren't for work. Find me another place that's not crowded with laws (and people) that I can make good money!

Well here it is Thursday and I have yet to see all the prdeicted bodies in the streets and the blood flowing.

No killings down in the poverty stricken areas of my city, no bosses walking in to their companies and gunning down their employees. No cops kicking in doors in bloody shootouts.

Looks like the anti-gunners have crapped and peeded down their legs as usual. Morons

We have lots of killings in the poverty areas of our city, with guns that have been banned for a while now. They keep getting them somehow. Unfortunately, the only ones that can defend themselves with a firearm are police officers.

Funny how the anti-gun kooks don't have a reason for 'where is the blood'?

Funny how they scatter from this thread.

I object to the reason-erasing term 'assault weapon'. I submit the alternate term 'puppy-protector friendly stick'.

It's because it does not interest him in the least or he is afraid of the big bad guns and blood and guts that didnot happen.

The anti-gun folks have not one principle in the gun issues. They are always about numbers without logic. So if there are no numbers for them to exploit they have no argument and therfore they lose every damn time. Many of them want blood baths because it makes them look good when they can say dumb things like: the gun killed people.

Without that they are dead in the water. It's kind of like if you show them a set of numbers that shows one thing, they either call you a lair or they imply the same. They do that because your set of numbers are not from an govt. source and therefore unreliable. What they fail to see is that no two govt. set of numbers are ever really the same. They want nothnig better than to see someone go postal and then they gleefully scream ...the gun did it.

I have often wondered how they function with out logic or principle. That is most amusing and confusing at the same time.
