Gun contol in Canada consists of getting a picture ID. Pistols and assault weapons are pretty much banned. But you are not prosecuted for not registering your weapons unless you commit a crime. So if you keep your nose clean, you can do what you like.

I truly believe in self regulation before to introduce new laws but the American gun lobby wants it all even at the risk of losing it all. I understand that gun manufacturers want to keep their profit high today but any good politician would defend the interests of gun lovers first by securing a future for American gun lovers loving their guns. As I see it America will end up with the most draconian gun control laws on earth and you will be the one to blame Lefneckredwing.

No one pays any attention to it except for gun shops and the Fiberals. That's how all forms of prohibition work. It just drives whatever part of the economy it is affecting underground and out of sight. Prostitution for instance. Tell me UK has no prostitutes. Prohibition never works. Gun control is not that important in countries where the gun culture is not about killing people for fun. The American gun culture glorifies guns as playful things and as means to defend oneself and yet America has an insane murder rate.
